This small hotel used to be a local primary school, and they have made an intelligent and humourous conversion which adds fun to the place. Staff were friendly and laid-back. The patio is a beautiful place to hang out or eat breakfast, and the breakast itself is decent. We could park right outside. We could walk to the beach. We took a bus two stops from outside the hotel and had an excellent dinner on the beach at Bidart. Another night we had we went to a great restaurant 300m away. They didnt kick us out early as more and more hotels seem to do. We said "A bientot" upon departure and would definitely return.

A wider offering at breakfast, perhaps something cooked.

Beautiful place, well located near public transport. Easy walk into guethary village and bus to other villages. Great breakfast, especially love the local products. Good drinks service Airconditioned room - very valuable in summer, with a spacious and clean bathroom. We stayed two weeks and were very happy with the stay. Highly recommend.

I would love a kettle in the room to be able to make a tea/coffee.

Lovely hotel with great staff. The garden is very nice, especially with a room with garden terrace. The breakfast buffet offers a lot of choice - fresh fruit and croissants, cheese et cetera. Its a 7 minute walk towards the port with a wide range of cafés and restaurants. Don’t miss the small Japanese / Basque grocery shop in town. Busses and train to Biarritz / Bayonne nearby. My dog also loved to stay here!

Our hotel stay was fantastic, lovely warm welcome, room was bright and comfortable, the location was great, car park a bonus, the staff super friendly and knowledgeable about their area. The breakfast was lovely, much care taken to showcase local products. Wine, apple juice charcuterie and cheese plate were absolutely delicious. I’m the setting of a former school we absolutely loved our stay!

Can’t improve on perfection!

We had great communication and the warmest of welcomes from Heleine. Our room was absolutely perfect, parking extremely convenient, wonderful breakfast. We love the location .. a few minutes from the motorway and a gorgeous short walk to the park, pub and beach. My husband, my dog and I slept very well in this peaceful beautiful hotel. Thank you .. we shall return.

We liked everything

A lovely little gem of a hotel. Everything about it was lovely and the staff were exceptional, probably because they were running their own hotel. We had lunch out and a glass of wine with charcuterie provided by the hotel in the garden in the evening. Breakfast was lovely and our dog was made very welcome.

Guethary is beautiful and the walk down to the harbour was pleasant But trying to find somewhere to eat was difficult. After lots of phone calls we found most restaurants were shut or fully booked. We stopped at one to enquire but they were fully booked. And ended up with a tapas style meal outside in not very warm weather. SO be warned if you decide to stay in this fun hotel make sure you look at restaurants on the Internet and book one for dinner. We would have liked the gourmet dinner our long trip from Spain demanded but were disappointed.

A very nice and friendly hotel with excellent rooms and breakfast. Free parking outside Hotel is at walking distance to town 5 minutes and very close to buss station. Ocean view from the window was very nice . The bathroom was spacioius with a good towel/bikini dryper.

Beautiful building and rooms with internal patio. Excellent hosts. A 10 mins walk to the beach. Close to a road but still very quiet. Very good breakfast. A small park neaby for the dog.

We like everything. The parking is small, for about 10 cars. We did not have a problem parking in June.

Good location, 5 minutes walk from the village centre. Very friendly staff. Space to park the car (conplicated in the area in summer). Nice installations.

Nothing, everything was good. Perhaps cheaper prices, but it is summer and it is the 64 region!
