The L'Adray hotel was a real Alpine treat for me and my family. The food was absolutely fantastic, a small modest but very tasty menu was served throughout our stay. You needed to give your order in the morning as everything was cooked from scratch and ingredients were bought that day. You know you are eating in a good place when you see several local ski instructors each night. Breakfast was a perfect mix of sweet and savoury and our daughter loved the little crepes. The room was perfectly sized for us with a lovely balcony outside. The whole hotel had a wonderful Alpine charm to it - e.g. pine, cowbells, and old ski pictures. This created a lovely authentic atmosphere for all of us. The staff, what can I say...they could not have been better. Harry was brilliant each night and made a real effort to make us feel welcome, paying special attention to our daughter. Frederic (owner, chef, receptionist, driver!) and his wife were wonderful hosts. They checked in on us each day to make sure we were happy, cooked us incredible food, and even drove us up to Montalbert a few times so we could get used to the area.

If you don't have a car then coordinating with the local shuttles can be a little tricky. There are about 5 each way each day so you can end up feeling a little rushed trying to get up to Montalbert and back. Frederic offered to drive us a few times which was very kind but we wished there was a 8.30-8.45 shuttle so we could enjoy breakfast more. Breakfast at L'Adray starts at 8am but the first shuttle outside is 8.05 and the next shuttle is 9.10. We had a ski booked lesson at 9am so we often had to skip breakfast to make the first shuttle. This is no fault of the hotel but bear this in mind when booking lessons/car hire.

The staff was very helpful: they picked us up from the train station and offered a lift to the skiing area on the day when the shuttle was not operating. The room and bathroom were very clean, cosy and comfortable. The food in the restaurant and its decoration were outstanding. I highly recommend staying there.

I wish the (free) shuttle was operating more often, but it's just me being picky: one can easily adjust to the hours when it's available or use a bus (apparently, to get on a bus S70, one needs to get a ticket online).

C'est excellent! Chef Frederic and his Mrs have a strong passion for their family business, and you can see how this chic accommodation looks and is run. A shout-out to Harry that was always there to make sure we have what we needed and for the great service he provided. Absolutely recommend this location and we're already looking forward to returning!

Great hotel-restaurant - excellent home-made food, appartment with everything needed at a very good locaties if you like to stay om a small Village just outside the main ski-area

Nothing really - all good

Everything was great, the interior is very cosy and so nicely decorated, you don't feel you're in a hotel but more like you visited your family or friends in the mountain village. There's a free parking lot near the hotel provided, which is very convenient for car travellers. There're also discounts for ski-passes and skiing equipment renting services, very easy and straightforward. We dined-in in the hotel restaurant a few times and it was delicious, especially the Christmas menu with lots of regional specialities and croissants, of course! Big thank you to Frédéric and the whole Team for creating such an outstanding experience for your guests! We felt welcomed during the whole of our stay and would definitely like to come back next time!

Wonderful hotel on the mountain, we had a very good and relaxing stay at the appartment. The owners are very nice and friendly. We had french breakfast which was delicious. The hotel and the rooms are decorated with lots of love and attention to detail. Definitely recommend 👌

Hosts are very welcoming and put a lot of heart in what they do. they really care about the guests. food was amazing.

it was very small and cluttered and we didnt feel like we had enough anonymity/privacy - but its only because there was a mismatch between our needs and the choice of place. in general, I think its a great place for families/couples, but perhaps not so ideal for a group of friends.

the evening meal was absolutely delicious - this hotel is a little gem. I hesitate to recommend it, because I don't want it to be fully booked when I want to stay here, but that is rather selfish and the owners deserve to be successful.
