On arrival the staff were very friendly and helpful. They prepared our rooms even though we arrived early, We was offered drinks while we waited. The room was comfortable with everything we needed for an overnight stay. Comfy bed, Coffee machine, nice bathroom. We didn't have breakfast, but it looked lovely. The hotel lobby also has a vending machine which was useful. The location was very close to the beach just opposite which was nice for some early morning fresh air and beautiful views. There is a bus stop opposite the hotel,. You can get a card for 2euros person that gives you access to the buses, metro and trams for 1 hour. This was very useful to go Vieux Port and Notre Dame (Marseille) The buses ran so regularly we never waited longer than 10 minutes. There is a patisserie outside the hotel which had the most amazing cakes and pastries. Not great for the diet but was too good to resist. Very reasonable prices. There is also newsagents close by (less than 2 minutes) if you needed anything from the shops. Escale Borely is within walking distance of the hotel (10/15 minutes) or the bus stops right outside, This is full of restaurants and more beautiful views. We had dinner in Les Trottoirs which is within walking distance (you can see it from the hotel) The food was so good and the potions were too big for 1 person. There are lots of places to eat just outside of the hotel. Bars, restaurants and pubs. Personally there was nothing not to like. The staff, the hotel, the location and the price was such good value. I have recommended this to friends and family.

A simple hotel, but with very good rooms! It was clean, with all the amenities, towels, toilet paper, shower gel, hair dryer, etc., all in good condition. From our room, there was a sea view, although not directly; you had to lean out a bit to see it. We also met a very friendly woman on the staff who was extremely pleasant with us. Overall, we stayed for one night, and everything was excellent and most importantly, clean!

The rooms have very good acoustics, which made it noisy; we could also clearly hear the cars passing by on the street, as the windows in the room faced the road directly. For those who are heavy sleepers, this might not be a problem.

Nice location close to the beach and not too far from the stadium. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Room was clean and a good size for 3 people with a nice modern bathroom. Also had a coffee machine. Breakfast served downstairs was simple but pleasant. I would recommend if you want a simple, clean hotel in a nice beachside location.

Road was a bit noisey but to be expected when close to main road. Very minor complaints would be that the room doors did not fit very well so were noisey to open and close and bathroom door was louvred so not great for privacy. Neither thing would stop me staying here again!

If you want a taste of real france, this is the hotel! The architecture and the neighbourhood is a typical southern French, i feel like i lived the real french experience staying there, the breakfast was a plate of croissants and butter just like the French, and the rooms would lock with a key instead of a card

You have to pay for bottled water and coffee inside the hotel.

I can't say anything remotely bad about this place - i was impressed with the reception team and we felt right at home in this cosy hotel! Can only recommend to anyone travelling alone or in a group/family (we had our 2.5 year old son with us and had no trouble at all).

Every year I stay a few days in Marseille and I always return to hotel Mistral. It is a hotel with a pleasant atmosphere (many employees have been working there for a long time), the rooms are comfortable and clean. Excellent breakfast. Walking distance (10 min.) from divecenter DUNE.

It was a lovely hotel, we had a sea view and the staff was friendly. It is not close to many things but there are restaurants, beaches and bars nearby. We went to the city center by bus and came back with a boat because there was a station for boats nearby.

It is very far from the city center.

Every member of the staff were outstanding, friendly and helpful. The room was great and right across the street from the beach. Slept great on the comfy beds. Fantastic restaurants feet away as well as shops, everything we needed was in a block or two. Highly recommend!!!

That we didn't stay longer...

The location was great and the suite very clean (newly renovated) with a beautiful terasse. It was too windy (The Mistral in full force) so we could not enjoy the terasse while we were there, but we took amazing sunset photos from it.

It was a little tricky to find parking and I can imagine if you go on a sunny day it may be even more challenging, but not impossible.

A very pleasant small hotel with comfortable, clean and perfectly adequate facilities, very friendly, hard-working and helpful receptionist and in an excellent sea-front position.

We stayed over bank-holiday weekend so the free car park opposite was initially full. Our super receptionist directed to plenty of off-street free parking five minutes walk away in Bd Mireille Jourdan-Barry which was just as good.
