Fantastic hotel in a beautiful location with the best hosts we met on our cycle tour. We loved it so much we stayed an extra night (and of course to rest our tired legs). We will be back, the couple that run this hotel pay attention to every detail. They helped us book train tickets and gave us great info about the beautiful city. Fabulous breakfast, great balcony overlooking the river to have a glass of wine in the evening.

There was nothing that we did not like

The owners of the hotel were very friendly and welcoming, always able to assist if we had a problem. The breakfasts were very continental, which was ideal because we expected to eat lots at lunchtime. There were great views across the River Mayenne in the morning.

It was an excellent stay, perhaps guests could have a few extra pillows for comfort. Apart from that, they made us feel very welcome.

We enjoyed our overnight stay. The young couple running the hotel are very friendly and welcoming. The location is great, central to bars and restaurants and a lovely view over the river. Car park handy too.

Nothing not to like. Some parts are a little worn but it adds to the character.

bit of a problem WITH WIFI, also the toilet pan difficult to stand for a pee owing to a sloping ceiling, bed similar problem for one side sloping ceiling bed should be turned against the wall to the right hand side as you enter the room.

This place is rather like a motel tucked away in a small French town. It works very well. The room was simple and comfy enough with a good shower etc The reception and breakfast room are in a separate building with an Indian restaurant in the lower storey. I opted not to have my supper in the restaurant so can't comment on the cooking but my breakfast was fine if very self service. Great to have off street parking too, although unsecured. Mayenne was rather a sweet little town and I had a choice of two Brasserie type establishments for supper. Had a very nice meal in the one I chose.

Nothing really, plain and simple but convenient, comfy and in a town just big enough for a quick stroll around and somewhere unpretentious to eat. Just what you need on the way back to the ferry, a nice morning drive back across Normandy to Caen.

Warm and friendly welcome from the owner, excellent location in the heart centre of village, lovely views of mayenne from breakfast room, and complimentary private parking always a bonus!

This hotel is a secret oasis of calm and well-being right in the centre of bustling Mayenne town. It is perfectly placed for access to all the restaurants, bars and the historic chateau with private parking and excellent views over the river. The breakfast was very good and served in a light and airy room. What a find!

Hotel a little run down ...recently been bought over by a young couple ..energetic and enthusiastic..would be interesting to see what they do with the place 😊

The location is superb, adjoining the Chateau and the town centre. The reception and breakfast area overlooks the river. Friendly helpful staff. Car park next to the rooms.

Location was perfect and price was very reasonable

There was nothing we didn’t like but a few suggestions that would have made it even better, like a fan, maybe a fridge and also a safe.
