Excellent value for money. Great location near to the town centre, river and castle. Very friendly, helpful staff, willing to go the extra mile. Very good breakfast with local produce. Excellent views from the breakfast room. The tower room was brilliant. Great, free car park.

It's very minor but the toilet roll dispenser was not very user friendly.

Nice friendly stop over on our cycling tour, William was very helpful and provided us a safe place to store our two bicycles overnight. Great location for restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. We did not take breakfast, so I can't comment, but sure, it was good. Restaurant below the hotel was Indian food and worth a visit.

Very centrally located in Mayenne, right next to the chateau. I was really only at the hotel for a very short time as I was in France for a wedding, but the location was great. Guillaume, who met me at reception, was lovely and very accommodating.

The bathroom layout could have been better - the shower had no door/curtain and was facing towards the toilet. The WiFi was also prone to dropping in and out a bit, but it was also free which is better than a lot of hotels.

Fantastic hotel in a beautiful location with the best hosts we met on our cycle tour. We loved it so much we stayed an extra night (and of course to rest our tired legs). We will be back, the couple that run this hotel pay attention to every detail. They helped us book train tickets and gave us great info about the beautiful city. Fabulous breakfast, great balcony overlooking the river to have a glass of wine in the evening.

There was nothing that we did not like

The owners of the hotel were very friendly and welcoming, always able to assist if we had a problem. The breakfasts were very continental, which was ideal because we expected to eat lots at lunchtime. There were great views across the River Mayenne in the morning.

It was an excellent stay, perhaps guests could have a few extra pillows for comfort. Apart from that, they made us feel very welcome.

Simple clean and comfortable rooms. Local jams, honey and bread for breakfast and super-friendly welcome. The owner, William, is an exceptional and host goes out of his way to help. Pleasant outlook from the rooms and stunning view from the dining area.

We enjoyed our overnight stay. The young couple running the hotel are very friendly and welcoming. The location is great, central to bars and restaurants and a lovely view over the river. Car park handy too.

Nothing not to like. Some parts are a little worn but it adds to the character.

Very friendly staff and safe secure cycle parking. Rooms were in a modern addition to an old building entrance from outside on ground floor motel style. It was quiet but central position in town. Breakfast was ok.

I thought a bit expensive for this type of basic room.

They had a designated bike storage room. Breakfast was amazing. Room was excellent and bed so comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful.
