Our stay at Domaine de Verchant was amazing! It was my boyfriend’s birthday, and the staff went above and beyond to make it truly special. Every little detail was so thoughtful, and it felt like they genuinely cared about making the day perfect for us. The reception team was incredible, and I have to give a special shoutout to Mr. Fernando—he was so friendly and welcoming, and his kindness really stood out. The SPA was absolutely gorgeous and the perfect place to relax, and the restaurant was another highlight. The food was delicious, and the whole dining experience felt so special. If you’re looking for a place that combines luxury with amazing service, Domaine de Verchant is the one. We can’t wait to go back!

I recently stayed at Domaine de Verchant, and it was truly one of the best experiences of my life. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the serene surroundings and the historic charm of the property. The hotel is perfectly situated just outside Montpellier, in a peaceful and quiet area, providing an ideal escape from the bustle of the city. The gardens and beautifully preserved historic buildings transport you to another century, making the entire experience magical. The mattress was absolutely heavenly – it gave me the best sleep of my life! The room was meticulously designed, combining modern comforts with timeless elegance. The staff were absolutely amazing – attentive, friendly, and genuinely dedicated to making my stay unforgettable. Their hospitality added a special touch to the entire experience. I wholeheartedly recommend visiting Domaine de Verchant. Whether you’re looking for relaxation, history, or luxury, this place has it all.

Nothing!!!

Breakfast was very tasty, but not many hot options and quite expensive I thought - It's not included in the stay so you have to pay extra for it each morning, but the pastries, bread and juice options were all of good quality as well as the meats and cheeses, and the staff were wonderful!

Nothing! The staff were so accommodating and friendly, the grounds and hotel itself are beautiful and the restaurants and food were amazing! My friend and I did the champagne tasting and we had a fantastic time, followed by the spa! The only downside was that the pool pictured on the photos was emptied when I visited so was un-usable which was a shame, but the infinity pool by the restaurant that overlooks the vineyard is much nicer!

The room facilities were excellent, service in restaurant very good, breakfast excellent cafe au lait Bedding and bed first class If you want to work, an Apple desktop in the dressing room. In room bar reasonable Quiet

As others have mentioned, the lights in the room take some getting used to Getting hot water in the shower was a challenge too, no directions for the hot or cold, too many knobs! Shelf above one washbasin so low that definitely for hand washing only otherwise you hit your head for example when washing teeth/face

The location was great, just outside the city near a modern suberb. There are vinyards around. Most of the rooms are in several tastefully designed buildings situated around the original house. There's a lovely garden. The spa, pools and the 'La Plage' restaurant are also separate and nicely designed. We had two dinners in La Plage, both excellent, with very good service. We had one dinner in the Marcelle restaurant which was exceptional - each of the five courses was imaginative, perfectly prepared and thoughtfully presented. We had wine pairing which was very good, with helpful explanations from the sommelier.

Room was super comfortable - bed was huge and we had a lovely sitting area and balcony. La plage restaurant was lovely - the pool area had a real beach club vibe. The wine from the vineyard was delicious and reasonably priced in the shop.

Thought the breakfast at €39 per person was quite expensive. We also ate in the hotel restaurant and my advice would be to check the menu - is a 5 or 7 course set menu. The hotel is in a quiet location - a 15 min cab ride into town.

Lighting controls in room were too complicated and difficult to use. No need for modern technology in French when simple buttons can suffice. Took us 10 minutes on the first night to turn off the lights.

Bedroom lights. Choice of beers not acceptable. Just 2 options offered. Standard international beer brands should be available - AND beer on tap!

The grounds are impeccably kept and it feels like a fantasy to walk around the property at night. It was Fall so the many plants were dormant but I can only imagine how lovely it will be in the Spring/Summer. The breakfast room was beautiful and the cappuccino perfectly prepared! Servers were lovely and very neat. There was a complimentary bottle of Rose given to us which is always a nice touch. The service at the bar was a little slow prior to dinner but the dining experience was very nice. We had a large group seated next to us that was loud and asked to be moved and were discretely relocated. I had a pasta with shaved truffles and it was impressive and delicious. The gastronomic restaurant was not open when we stayed but is another reason to return in the future. Very good value for the money.

I liked everything including the gym. I grabbed a yoga mat and did morning yoga in the rose garden. I'll use the spa next time as no time on this visit.

The Spa is fabulous and we spent a lot of time there. The grounds are lovely. Breakfast is wonderful. The staff were very helpful.

It was a rainy period and mosquitos kept flying into the room when the door opened- and biting us. Reception gave us a Citronella infuser, which helped a bit. The AC for property was turned off for winter while we were there, creating very warm nights in the room.

Superb experience in a wine domain with a lot of history! Lovely staff, fine breakfast, outstanding facilities (pool , spa , fitness, restaurants, …) excellent base to discover the wide area. Ask staff about Montpellier, nightlife, dining and more and they will oblige!!

Pool was not heated until May, while temperatures were in the 25°
