The breakfast was really good with lots of variety and the location was within a short drive Amboise and many chateau locations. The rooms were very large and clean and we especially loved the added touch of the spa!!! We would highly recommend staying at this charming and unique property.

Wonderful hosts, clean comfortable accommodation and fresh breakfast. Great location for Loire chateaux and wine caves. Good restaurants nearby.The spa tub is a bonus. Would definitely return.

This is a lovely residence and offers a very high standard of accomodation and an excellent breakfast. The room was very comfortable and the property has a quiet relaxing room with a sauna and jacuzzi. It is in a excellent location for visiting the Loire valley. The hosts are very welcoming.

The room was up a flight of stairs which was difficult for bringing in luggage. The room didn't have a fridge.

We would highly recommend the Chateau de la Barre. The owners Veronique & Vincent are very nice & welcoming. Our room was nicely decorated & had a fireplace, it was very cozy with good bedding. The spa area was wonderful, a real treat! Location is very good for the visit of many castles. The French breakfast was delicious with nice bread & pastries from the local bakery & homemade jam! They have only 3 rooms so it's very intimate, unlike a hotel. They have also a free parking & they are pet friendly.

The 'Chateau De La Barre' is well located right in the middle between Amboise and Chaumont. The breakfast is good and the hosts are really very friendly. The spa area is very nice too.

Unfortunately the chateau is close to the departemental road which is noisy and spoils the view. It is an excellent place to stay for a night or two but if you are looking for a place to stay longer you may want to look elsewhere.
