Decent sized room with big ensuite bathroom and seperate toilet. Exactly what we needed. No HVAC in the room, but the fan was sufficient to keep us cool on a warm evening.

It is out of the town centre, but with a car it is very easy to reach the huge free parking lot on the edge of the city. There is a good bus connection, but it stops running at like 21:00, so be aware.

The location was within a short drive to the parking for the city center. The shower was spacious and had good pressure and temperature. The breakfast was convenient with many choices of foods. The host was gracious to chill a bottle of wine for us. The room and bedding was clean and fresh.

No air conditioning with just a fan. The roll down window screen still lets in the morning sunlight through many small holes. The room was right above the smoking area and we had to shut the window.

The building looked mediocre from the outside but looks deceive. As soon as we walked in, we felt the friendly atmosphere. The host was pleasant and helpful and spoke English. Our room was simple but attractive. It wasn't large but there was ample room for our cases and the wardrobe was a good size. The bath/shower room was separate from the toilet. The shower was over the bath and a little stool was provided, should you need it. The water was hot and the shower had a good flow. There were tea/coffee-making facilities and a TV. The bed was very comfortable and the linen was very attractive and crispy-clean. There were two pillows each, one long and one square. It was also very quiet, affording us a solid night's sleep. (We were asked not to use the lift after 2300 for fear of disturbing others.) Breakfast was a treat: Individual trays of fresh fruit, bread and croissants were made up and there was also a self-service selection of cold meats, yogurt, pastries, museli (which was amazingly delicious but, sadly, not available on the High Street) and a selection of teas, coffee and fruit juice. This was by far the most comfortable and enjoyable hotel of the six in which we stayed on this trip and also the cheapest!

Absolutely nothing, except we wished we could have stayed longer!

Great stopover hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was cosy, but well equipped. Breakfast good value and tasty. Great parking. Pau is a lovely city, so definitely worth a trip into the city.

Hotel rooms are clean, but as an old hotel there is a latent smoky smell. Not a major problem even for non smokers like us.

The hotel is easy to find alongside a main road. Rooms were immaculately clean and there was a vey good breakfast. We only stayed one night as a stopover on the way to Spain. The hotel is not far from the main bypass road.

Outside look of the property is deceiving, inside is very good. Surrounding area is a bit commercial.

The staff were very friendly, and very helpful. The hotel was very clean. And the breakfast was very good value for the money

The only thing that I was surprised at, was that their wasn't air conditioning, and as it's was really hot, the fan in our bedroom struggled to keep it warm

We arrived early evening and we only transitted through Pau. This hotel was in a good location which permitted us to come off and get back onto the motorway easily. The room was a good size with a very comfortable, large bed and everything was spotlessly clean. We also had secure parking at the front of the hotel. Also easy access from and return to the motorway to continue our journey. No complaints ......

Easy to access, on the outskirts of Pau. Convenient stopover before crossing the Pyrenees. Provided all the basics. Private parking near the front door of the hotel. Kettle and snacks provided in the room was a plus. Restaurant onsite (we did not use it, but we could have). It happened to be near two stages of the Tour de France, which added interest. Helpful host.

There was a fan in the room, but no a/c. Not a problem when we stayed, but in hot weather room might be a bit uncomfortable.

Booked hotel due to location close to event at the racecourse and due to excellent reviews. Our late flight was delayed but Manager waited for us. All through stay he was friendly and helpful, speaking excellent English. Public area used for breakfast was bright and clean, with self service breakfast excellent value for money. Rooms and bathrooms very clean and comfortable. No aircon but wall mounted fans.

For some reason rooms only had net curtains, but after the first night realised nothing could be seen from outside and relaxed. Stairs and hallway lights appeared to work on a mixture of sensors and switches which wasn't very effective as we were trying to unlock doors in dark. However these were minimal issues.

Man on reception very good and helpful, spoke English too. Breakfast good,organised by same man. Parking for car good. 2 supermarkets nearby. McDonald's 10 Min walk away. Good bus service. T2 outside hotel into Pau. 3 Euros for 2 pensioners.

Traffic noise at front. But hey it's a road!
