The property is exactly as described on booking, it is conveniently located for the motorways but is in a delightful rural setting by the side of a lake. Dinner was wonderful , great value and served in the Lakeside restaurant. After dinner, we sat in deck chairs sipping beer and watching the sunset by the lake side. Our dog was welcome. Breakfast was very good.

There was nothing that we didn’t like, however a couple of points to note; the rooms are small and are not air conditioned, the bar closes at 10 when the staff leave, there were a lot of midges in late May.

Dinner was superb - congratulations to chef Francois-Xavier for 3 terrific courses. Well done. Breakfast was fine too. Fantastic wildlife, geese, ducks and an otter!

Initial registration could have been a little easier but could be language difficulty. That’s our fault! There was no lift and my husband has a new knee and heart failure so stairs were a problem. Next time we’ll book a ground floor room.

Location by the lake was wonderful, with walks along the edge straight from the hotel. Restaurant positioned overlooking the lake.

Room was hot and although we could open the window, the curtain blocked the draught, and we needed the curtain as we were on the ground floor. No kettle and the "hot" water provided for our thermos flask for coffee en route was not very hot.

Access to lake is amazing although powered water sports (power boat and jet skis) appear to get preference over swimmers. With such a massive lake, why not impose half and half? Nothing to do with hotel

Breakfast was a light continental. Not a great deal of choice and three days of the same.

The hotel was well located - just out of town, on the shores of a pretty lake. On site parking was greatly appreciated. Having a restaurant on site was convenient. The meals (dinner and breakfast) were good.

Had to carry our luggage up to the second level.

There was a very good selection of food for breakfast lots to choose from. The view from the restaurant was across the lake and was lovely. The restaurant was full the night we arrived but the staff suggested a restaurant close by. The restaurant was good and perfect for our needs.

Our room was comfortable and very clean. Air conditioning was great. Bathroom was a little on the small side but very well appointed. There were two pillows each, also tea and coffee making facilities. We slept well

No lift.

Lovely location by the lake with a nice walk around it. Comfy beds, nice staff. Beautiful terrace overlooking the lake.

May need to book ahead for dinner as when we arrived and asked to book dinner they were full on the terrace so we were unable to enjoy it.

Breakfast was good. We enjoyed a walk by the lake on arrival.

Bedroom was a little smaller than expected. Service at dinner was somewhat slow. We seemed to be ignored at the start and then the wine ordered did not arrive until we asked.

Lovely room, very suitable for our needs. My husband has restricted mobility and we were put on the ground floor near reception. It was great location by the lake and 5 minutes from the town centre.

The table d'hote menu was not to our taste.
