The location of this hotel is perfect. The room had a sea view and view of the bay at Royan, fishing port and marina. The whole road in front of the hotel offered free parking, so there were never any problems. Foncillon beach is just a walk across the road away. Breakfast was good and the staff very friendly and helpful. The room was light and nicely decorated. As the ferry crosses the estuary from nearby, there was plenty to watch from our room.We really enjoyed our stay here.

Such a lovely place to stay. Very clean. We had the family room with terrace and travelled with my partner and our 2 children (4 yrs & 22 months). The room was perfect. A cot was made available. The large terrace was fab with a super view. We had breakfast too which had scrambled eggs and bacon buffet style. You could soft boil an egg if you wanted. There were hard boiled eggs available. Then everything else was typical continental with pastries, breads, ham, cheese, yoghurt, cereals, fruit salad etc. We are definitely going back next year. The staff were also all very lovely

Superb location. Overlooking the Gironde with panoramic views. Just a few minutes walk from main areas of interest. Free municipal parking nearby, plentiful, depending on season of course. This is an older hotel, but well kept, and satisfyingly free of nonsensical design gagdets. For us, in May, the price was high but still OK.

There’s no parking in the hotel but there’s free parking throughout the city. However when we got there it was very busy and we had to drive around for quite a while to find a parking spot near the hotel.

Well located, clean with lovely staff. Breakfast excellent choice and fresh Rooms lovely especially the bathroom and a great sea view even though described as lateral sea view Free parking right outside . Our dogs were made to feel very welcome too

Nice clean room with all facilities but oh so small could hardly get around the bed. Staff were great and very helpful. Not a hotel to spend any time indoors on a rainy day for instance - but overall good in a fabulous location.....

Onlt the room size - everything else was good....

Lovely clean modern room a little on the s mall size and no drawers at all only a shelf in a small wardrobe. Could do with bedside tables that had drawer spaces in them those designed were just a top and side legs. We stayed for 6 days and it was a perfect location to walk to the pretty harbour for dinner etc or across the road to a huge sandy beach the evening sunset and cleanliness was very good. Or exploring the coastline this hotel was easy access to the area. It was also very peaceful yet near to the town in fact walking distance. There was no noise and free on street parking most times outside. We had a really lovely time and the staff were so nice on hand at all time. The room was kept really clean and serviced

Drawer space there was none so our clothes were always in a muddle or hard to find on a top shelf. Small clothing items got mixed up. Lefts were slow and tiny. We booked and paid ahead of arrival. But my daughter’s credit card company was not accepted by the hotel which was embarrassing. We thought we had lost our booking so had to pay again on arrival. Not good to worry unnecessarily.

Nice friendly hotel in Royan. Decent breakfast but slightly overpriced. I like this hotel.

Royan has a great beach but it's not a great town. Pretty average. Like Scarborough or Brighton at best. I won't be returning. La Rochelle is much much better ..

Opposite a beach, and close to restaurants and shops

Did not have private car park as we were led to believe, however ample free parking is available outside and around the hotel.
