The front desk staff were wonderful and very kind; we speak no French and they never made us feel that was a problem. The room was huge with a very large bathroom. We also loved the bakery adjoining the building, the beautiful empty beach across the street and the Italian Restuarant about four doors down. And there was elevator! There was nothing not to like about this hotel. We fell asleep listening to the ocean. Our favorite hotel on this 5 week road trip through France

The hotel is across the road from the beach so sea view rooms have a marvellous view, great to wake up to when you draw the curtains. The staff were all friendly and helpful, with a 24hr night porter for those returning later. Good continental buffet breakfast with the option of scrambled egg and bacon. Rooms spacious and clean with bath and over bath shower, all in good order.

The hotel is good value, with a prime location. Only two facilities lacking were a bar area to meet/wait for friends and a lack of dedicated parking., although there is a car park about 200m away.

The room was dark and gloomy you couldn't open curtains as it was overlooked..disappointing as they have a lift to upstairs where we could have got light ..parking in garage..make this s no unless you have a tiny car..its really difficult and 12 euros a complete rip off

Safe parking, for a small fee, very good reception, with a lift to upper floors. Location fantastic for the whole beachfront. Rooms exceptionally clean and comfortable. We didn't eat breakfast but it looked very good and varied. Some side rooms have good sea views, some comfy couches in the reception hall if you want to sit and read a book on a sofa on some lazy afternoons.

Rooms at front and side can be a little noisy as traffic flow is continuous, air conditioning good as it could be too hot to open windows.

Cost of Breakfast was a rip off. Cost of dogs per night at 10 euros also a rip off. Expensive hotel need to look at cost of rooms!

We loved the location away from the major centre of Royan and on a beautiful beach. Staff were all helpful. Breakfast was very good of a bit expensive. Good secure underground parking.

The only thing I disliked was the WiFi - one of those silly systems that takes all your details then when you have finished your work and come back later the WiFi demands you go through the registration process again. Come on guys make it simpler.

This is a perfect location to get for a break away from routine. The rooms have lovely warm colours unlike most cold hotel rooms. You have the perfect view of the bay. The hotel is near many great restaurants and bars. We went in winter and the room was very warm. We could hear the waves crash on the shore in the evenings. Staff were very kind. Our room was well cleaned every morning.

The breakfast was average but really very good for a 3* hotel. The bathtub is small but again very good for a 3* hotel. TV channels limited but TV isn’t necessary when you have a beautiful ocean to visit. It’s difficult to complain to be honest! I’d stay there again if I visited Royan again.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms and facilities were spotless and well maintained. Breakfast is delicious with a lovely sea view. Highly recommend, very relaxing and hotel has air-conditioning which is apparently quite rare in the area!

This is the second time that we have used this hotel. It is in a great location and has a car park facility.

We parked on street without problem, but would probably prefer private parking on next visit.
