The staff are all very friendly, gavve us suggestions on what to go see. The room and hotel was very clean and the mattresses were really comfortable and I slept very well. We liked that they have big safe bike rooms and a microwave free to use with a food machine with some nice fast dinner options, very useful if you come late from a ride and can't get dinner outside.

The breakfast was everyday the same without much variety, which is ok but we stayed for two weeks so we started missing something different. Otherwise good breakfast.

Room was fabulous with a balcony with views of the mountains. Staff are amazing all very friendly and cheery,they had even switched the air on on just before we arrived which was much appreciated on a hot day. They booked a restaurant for us which was limited on a Sunday night, high season.Bed very comfortable, shower great. Parking g was easy and secure for cars,motorbikes and cycles. It is close to bars and restaurants. Breakfast was ample. Easy access from motorway, this will be our overnight stop always when in the area. Do not be deceived by first appearances!!

I have visited this hotel before and I expect that I shall stay there again in the future. The rooms are not huge, but not exactly small either. The staff, especially the manageress, are extremely friendly and go out of their way to help. The car park is adjacent to the hotel and is protected by CCTV and is closed off at night (access is still possible for guests). There is also a large, secured bike room for those wishing to ride the nearby cols. There are several good restaurants nearby and hotel staff will make reservations for you, if asked.

I struggle to find anything negative to say about this friendly, welcoming hotel.

The Staff at St George Hotel are wonderful. We had some issues with our room and they were dealt with very quickly; TV wasn’t working and When that was pointed out, it was remedied almost immediately. Our room AC unit wasn’t functioning properly for the first night, but that was also addressed promptly when pointed out in the morning. A service person had to come in, but it was fixed by that evening! Also the staff was exceptionally friendly and truly seemed to enjoy hosting our party of 5 across 3 rooms. Also had great bike storage rooms!

At Jean is a small town, so generally pretty quiet, but you can get some street noise if you like to let the fresh mountain air in.

Absolutely superb in all ways. The staff were lovely and you could tell cared about the hotel and guests. Loads of little touches that make things better e.g. usb sockets in room, great shower, warm, thick curtains so daylight not an issue, really quiet even though lots of guess, great buffet breakfast constantly replenished, loads of bike storage (motorbikes too), own car park, centre of town. Absolutely loved staying here - all of this comes from the great staff - MERCI BEACOUP A VOUS TOUS!

Nice comfortable hotel Not too far from the main motorway. Easy to find. Although the reception was closed when we arrived we were able to contact the hotel manager by telephone who gave us the access codes to the hotel and our room. Good secure parking within the hotel's private courtyard. Comfortable room with good en-suite facilities. Great location and and easy walk into the town. Good selection of restaurants. Breakfast was good and there were not issues at all with our stay.

Staff all friendly & helpful. Lovely & clean, comfortable bed. We were surprised to have a kettle in the room. About a 15 minute walk from the station. Near enough to the town centre to walk in & explore. RC Cathedral nearby is worth a visit & impressive clock tower. We were only staying one night but managed to find the pathway up for an amazing view of the town. We also had time to visit the Pocket knife museum.

I booked this on our way home from Italy to the Netherlands, booked in the afternoon for the overnight stay. We arrived late, staff was very friendly and as a bonus they had charging for my electric car. Parking was free and easy to reach behind the hotel. So welcome bonus.

There was nothing not to like.

Easy to find parking courtyard Central, near everything, can walk everywhere. small terrace in the courtyard for a drink. Rooms are large, comfortable, and quite pretty. Slept very well. We arrived on the day of a cycle race so it was very lively full of cyclists recuperating which gave everything a party feel but room floors were quiet. Dog friendly.

It all depends on your expectations but we had no issues and will happily stay there again.

Secure parking in private car park, comfortable room with good facilities including tea/coffee making and mini-bar. Good breakfast. Very convenient location in the centre of town for shops, bars, restaurants and a market on Saturday morning.
