- Natalie, Virginie, Benoit, Ash, and the rest of the team took such stunning care of us — I was completely blown away - They knew every single person staying by name and went beyond out of their way to make us feel right at home - Stunning grounds— especially the pool - DO NOT MISS dinner or lunch OR BOTH poolside at their restaurant — the food was better than I’ve had at some Michelin restaurants and the price was SO reasonable, and enjoy a bottle of wine at golden hour poolside - A really quick walk into SPDV - The only thing I regret is that we couldn’t stay longer!!!!

It fully lived up to our expectations from the photos. Beautiful hotel in tranquil surroundings. Immaculately clean, stylish and interesting decor, stunning pool. Staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful. Our self-contained apartment was perfect for us and our 2 young kids. Loved the honesty bar idea. Great location for driving to nearby places like St Paul de Vence.

The location is lovely and peaceful, surrounded by countryside. However it's not easy to walk anywhere directly from the hotel as there aren't many footpaths and there are busy roads. This was the only small downside for me. But would still stay here again!

As close to perfection as I have ever found. Small, family run hotel with a good restaurant (not just a hotel type place- somewhere locals come to). The most beautiful, tranquil pool and grounds. Gorgeous breakfast.

Nothing really. Fyi only- Saint Paul de Vence itself is utterly beautiful but mostly full of galleries and high-end restaurants. You need to go slightly further for bakery, supermarket etc.

A wonderful hotel, feeling like you are in your own house. The area is very quiet and beautiful, around the pool is very beautiful, calm and cozy, there is enough distance and space for everyone to have privacy. The breakfast is great. I would go again in a few days. It is convenient for parking, you need a car to explore the beautiful villages around.

I had not paid attention to the fact that the room I am renting does not have a terrace. Next time I might take a room with a terrace because they are nicer and more comfortable. That way there would be an option to easily dry the swimsuits as well.

This place is like paradise embedded in the middle of Garden Eden:) The stuff is extremely friendly and helpful. We’ve been very unlucky with the weather - it was raining cats and dogs, but that made the garden even more beautiful. The facilities are very cosy and charming.

That’s more a personal preference, but I prefer 2 separate blankets instead of one big for two. But it seams it is rather a habit in France, because the same we experienced in other hotels, too.

Very enthusiastic and friendly greeting on arrival - all staff were helpful. Given the 'over-tourism' of nearby St Paul de Vence, the hotel Messugues is a perfect oasis of calm and informality. Good size room with view over an olive grove. Breakfast was excellent. For art-lovers this is a great location to access the nearby Fondation Maeght and Fondation CAB as well as the galleries of St Paul de Vence, and the Matisse Chapel Rosaire in Vence.

The hotel's own restaurant closes at the end of September, so we were obliged to travel out to find lunch and/ or dinner.

Hotel Les Messugues is a little slice of paradise in the hills above Nice. We fell in love with the place immediately. All of the staff are super friendly and service is delivered with a big smile. The pool is fabulous, the rooms beautiful and the breakfasts delicious- a highlight being Nathalie’s homemade cake. I has a rotten cold on my last two days there and they made me the most wonderful herbal tea with ingredients from their kitchen garden. The poolside restaurant is so pretty and the food all sourced locally. Foundation Maeght is a short walk away on quiet lanes and the walk into Saint Paul takes just 12 minutes. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. In fact, we have already booked to return in September! Thanks so much Virginie and team.

Hotel Les Messugues is a rare find. I can only describe as idyllic. In a rural setting, away from the busy, bustling town of St Paul de Vence, this jewel of a hotel was everything and more. The first thing we noticed was how friendly everyone was….a big smile and greeting at every encounter. The room …we had the studio.. was lovely with a kitchenette and a small back garden. It was cleaned daily and the beds were comfortable- a real home from home. Breakfasts were delicious. We didn’t eat lunch, as we went out, but the dinner menu didn’t disappoint, the courgette flower tempura with a home made herb mayonnaise was a highlight! We spent time sunning ourselves at the lovely pool, plenty of sun beds and big, clean, fluffy white towels. The local taxi driver Stefan ferried us to the town and back, he does tours too. The honesty bar by the pool meant we could sip Rose wine as we lounged.

The Hotel Les Messugues ( Messugues are flowers grown on the property) is a pure bliss. Very short drive from the Nice Airport and nested in the hills above it offers the perfect launchpad for exploring the Côte D’Azur or just relaxing by the pool. Nice, Cannes, Monaco, Eze are a short drive away, as are many beaches. Evenings are well spent on the open veranda style restaurant with very attentive staff and a great menu with fresh locally sourced products and many wine choices from the local wineries. The property is very well maintained, clean, and quiet. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Virginie and her crew are very kind and will do everything to make your stay a memorable experience. True pleasure to have stayed here.

We stayed here to visit family who live near by and to celebrate a special occasion. We loved the proximity to both our family and the village (where we ourselves were married). The property was clean, convenient, charming and perfect for our needs (we really appreciate having air conditioning which helped to keep the mosquitoes away at night). We enjoyed everything about our stay: the facilities, the staff and the beauty and charm of the property.

We have no complaints. While the weather did not cooperate, we wished we could have made use of the pool more often.
