Nice, old hotel located near the town centre and a very short walk to shops and restaurants. Lovely staff, made sure we were happy. Garage just around the corner for parking. Check in and they give you a key fob to open the door. Spacious room with a super comfy bed, large bathroom with two sinks, toilet in a separate little room alongside. Lovely courtyard, in February our balcony was a sun trap and warm.

Wife didn’t like the separate toilet, not enough privacy.

Very good facilities, secure garage nearby, rear entrace to property, very comfortable bed, lots of nice touches in the very clean room (eg good quality monogrammed towels in bathroom) and hotel (eg chess set and piano in comfortable lounge area). Good breakfast (maybe the apricots were straight from the tree in the courtyard?) Location perfect for town centre stroll to look round and for restraunts. Good recommendations from monsieur for restaurants. Good place to stop on way to the Pyrenees.

A minor point. A bolster cushion across the top of the bed seemed hard to move but was a little in the way of sleeping on the main cushion.

Easy to check in. We arrived late and they had left the key on the counter for us and had provided us the code for the main door. We just stopped over for the night on the way to Spain.

I’m never very comfortable with carpet on the bedroom floor and there had hosted a dog before I guess.

Very clean comfortable room. Extremely helpful, friendly and thoughtful manager. There was a real sense of history about this hotel, with many famous faces associated with it. The author Paul Coelho spent two years living here because it is close to Lourdes( where he liked to spend New Years Eve) and the heating is good!

I couldn’t say anything negative - it was good value for money!

Beautiful room and hotel courtyard. Lovely manager/ owner who who chatty and helpful. He also recommended a really good restaurant just down the road

Unfortunately our EV didn't charge although the owner was very kind and helped us plug in etc but it wasn't a proper echarger. Pity, because everything else was so great.

Nice clean hotel, if a bit thin-walled. Our dog is very reactive to noises, so hearing people talk and move around in rooms around us is always a bit tricky. Comfortable bed and spotless bathroom. Can recommend.

Managers and Staff were very friendly and helpful,room was immaculately clean.great location, close to many restaurants. I would definitely stay at Henry 1V again

This is a classic hotel with charm in a lovely 19th century house..shuttered windows and a peaceful courtyard with wisteria at its heart. Although in the middle of town, it is quiet and relaxing (and has parking). They have the right balance of pristine 21st century facilities, with immaculate bathrooms. The staff are helpful and informative. It is a delightful place to stay for a few days. Classic continental breakfast available.

Nothing really. It was all very easy.

Friendly people and a very comfortable room. First impressions of the hotel are not particularly great as the foyer and corridors could do with a refresh but money has clearly been spent on bringing the rooms up to scratch. A good size with interesting decoration, a comfortable bed, kettle/drinks and a fridge/minibar. Modern bathroom which again was a good size.

The breakfast was a bit weak with a good variety of bread items with butter/jam but not much else. A small selection of ham, cheese and eggs would transform it.

We arrived during a day of heavy rain...as bikers. We were soaked but the hotel staff were very warm and welcoming. The rooms had everything we needed to dry our gear and was very comfortable. I'd happily stay here again!
