Beautiful area of surrounding farmland, cows and chickens, but close to the motorways. Very quiet and peaceful. Everything was clean and tidy. Tea and coffee making facilities in bedrooms. The owner was extremely helpful, with good English. She drove us to a very good local restaurant and collected us, which was very kind. Breakfast was quite basic - pastries, breads, home made conserves. Teas and coffee.

A bit more variety for breakfast would be good.

The hotelier was very pleasant & helpful. The hotel is up a very large hill and as we arrived by bike on a day when the hotel restaurant was closed, she drove us to a local restaurant and arranged a taxi for our return journey!

Very friendly atmosphere.

We booked the hotel as a 'stop gap' in our sight seeing itinerary. It was pretty much what you expect from a golf hotel - functional . The best part was the restaurant, the food was lovely and the staff were very attentive and pleasant. There was a group of young gymnasts staying in adjoining accommodation at the hotel and they were incredibly well behaved and a delight to see. The hotel is situated in a quiet rural location - we took a very pleasant stroll in the evening past all the holiday Gites.

I think it was a bit pricey for what you got. The room was functional, but not special - a bit like Butlins, not totally clean and the soap and shampoo dispenser were out of soap so it was just as well we came prepared. The bed was comfy however.

Location & jolly staff.

Functional but needed some simple basic features,eg a bracket for the shower head (remember the last time you had to grip a shower with your knees) ,a kettle wire that reaches the wall plug,not powder milk. Paint was worn & hotel generally needed some maintenance. An old bed nailed across a window was great upcycling but...not at this price range
