The hotel is beautiful and they were able to accommodate a last minute request. My father fell ill on a family trip with a river cruise and was admitted to the nearby hospital. That part of the experience was not great, of course, but the hotel was easy walking distance to the hospital and many other conveniences. Although there was no air conditioning, the hotel was beautiful and comfortable. The staff was sensitive to our situation and I would definitely return under better circumstances.

I cannot think of anything that wasn't really great at Hotel Normandy. Had I booked the hotel under better circumstances instead of its convenience to the hospital, it would have been an absolutely wonderful experience.

The property is well located with street parking close by (which is free from 6.30pm to 9am). The staff were very helpful and friendly and the food at the restaurant was delicious. The property has a lift and a very useful luggage trolley (as our baggage had become quite heavy during our stay in France). It was only a short drive to Giverny to see Monet's garden and we would gladly stay here again.

The room became quite warm on a hot day but the fan in the room helped overcome any discomfort.

Room was warm but a fan was provided. There was an Automobile Car Club meeting on and as the people who were attending waited they smoked outside the Hotel doors subsequently cigarette smoke rose and our room was above (not hotels fault though - just the observation) Restaurant was shut despite booking dot com stating it would be open for our stay on the website, however the Bus Stop Diner opposite was open so food was acquired

Loved the breakfast. Lots of different food options, hot and cold. Good location in town for Vernon shops and restaurants, church, paths, and exploration of a neat little town. Great path down by the river.

If you're not much of a walker and want to see the Monet Gardens and impressionist museum in Giverny, we could only find public transportation by the Vernon train station. Otherwise, expect to take an Uber, taxi, etc to those locations. Also, and this may be common in European hotels, the toilet in the room was in a separate room than the sink and shower.

Excellent position in the town and a very nice hotel. The room was spacious with separate bathroom, toilet, bedroom and entrance/wardrobe areas. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and we enjoyed a drink in the bar. The car park is very small, beneath the hotel and a bit tricky to manoeuvre in, but very convenient. You must ensure you book a space in advance. Vernon is only a short drive to Giverny, but a lot less touristy.

Nice hotel in a good location in the centre of town The room was spacious with a large comfortable bed. A seoersye entrance lobby with a private bathroom with large sower area. The bathroom was fitted out to accommodate persons with disabilities which given the fact that Normandy is visited by many veterans I felt was a great touch The bar and lounge area complete with pool table and football game was in a word brilliant and the restaurant very nice wit great service Breakfast was pretty goood with a choice of hot and fond food. Better than I expected when booking

Great location. Had secure parking for my vehicle. Bed and room were clean and comfortable. Enjoyed a nice drink and snack from the hotel restaurant. Clean, neat, functional bath, shower, charging outlets, desk. Was a nice stay.

I sure enjoy a/c, and the hotel does not have it. That said, it was warm but quite bearable with the hotel-provided fan. No refrigerator in the room. Everything else was nice.

The hotel is in a convenient part of town. The room was very clean, spacious and well decorated. Having an area to put clothes and a safety deposit box was also a plus. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bar area was also very nice.

The bath was so narrow that it made getting in and out very difficult (and we are not big people). There were no tea or coffee making facilities and the car parking spaces were rather challenging, even with a medium sized car.

Great location in every sense. Under 2 hrs from the ferry (Caen); easy walking distance of everywhere in Vernon; short drive/cycle to Monet sights; under an hour drive to Versailles and an easy train journey into Paris.

Bedding didn’t fit the bed which made for some restless nights - but that is a very minor issue!

Excellent hotel on the edge of the old town. Easy access to historic town and many places to eat on the doorstep. Parking close by, which is always a bonus. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Nice bar with enclosed terrace. Breakfast was good and worth it.

Room was a little dated, could do with a refurb in places, but didn't really detract.
