The restaurant has a great outside dining area, with fantastic views over the Atlantic Ocean, ideal for winding down and ruminating. Breakfast is hearty and filling, as is dinner. Tried some dished unknown to me before, like the chicken yassa, and everything was really delicious. The room was nice and clean. Actually, on arrival, I noticed a not-so-clean bedsheet, and it was changed immediately, with an extra cleaning of the room, so I was left with nothing to complain about. Yes, slip-ups can happen, but I was impressed with how quickly and efficienty it was fixed. A quiet and private beach is just down the stairs if you want to get a swim in the Atlantic - I did and I liked it.

Nothing, really. As I wrote above, there was a minor issue with the original bedsheets, but it was immediately and expressly fixed.

The first day I arrived was very early in the morning at 7am and even though I appreciated them allowing me a early check-in early, It was not kool that the accountant was being problematic about the date that was on the cash I had bought to pay for my stay, he was being very specific about the date on the money which was very strange considering I would've had to get them from the cash machine prior to travelling and refused to accept the cash unless I went and changed it to the local currency!! However despite that we had a great time at the hotel, the staff cleaned the room exceptionally well every day and even helped us to move to a better room when our shower wouldn't work properly. I was very impressed with the view of the Atlantic Ocean and will definitely return just to sit and listen to the calming waves. The staff are all awesome from reception to the restaurant, defo try the spa you get the best massage and the guy at the gym is the best! Breakfast was decent esp the omelet!!

Just the attitude of the accountant regarding the date on my cash. If that is an issue then request payment by card.

Clean hotel, friendly staff. Empty beach and nice pool area. Reasonably priced, with early check-in and late check-out available.

WiFi could work better (too many networks in different areas and random passwords). There was no proper coffee machine at restaurant / bar. Only undrinkable powder Nescafe. Luckily normal coffee was available at the Indian restaurant next to hotel entrance.

Excellent accommodations staff manager was absolutely inviting kind wonderful experience life changing everyone should visit here at this location it was clean and inviting safe comfortable I cannot say enough about this place I will be returning and bringing more with me you felt secure oh my goodness it was just absolutely amazing

Good welcome. Easy check in. Security on site at night in case you arrive late. Room a good size, with bottles of water, clean sheets, nice shower. Good air con. Clean swimming pool. Lovely spaces to relax by the pool. Garden is a work in progress. Reasonably priced drinks and food. Friendly staff. Helpful in organising taxis. Good location if you want to be in a peaceful area. We walked from there to Cape point. And easy to get a lift to Senegambia and other areas. Excellent facilities of table football, table tennis and pool! Great fun! Breakfast simple but effective: porridge, beans, bread, jam, sausage, scrambled egg, juice, tea/coffee, watermelon. Accommodation is extremely well priced for great swimming pool, access to seeing the sea etc. We returned here for our future nights later in our holiday.

Never seemed to have the vegetables in stock for the vegetable dishes. Could do with a few small pools of water to attract birds to the garden for visiting bird watchers.

Tropic Garden Hotel was great. I really enjoyed staying there. Raj with his staff and Mr. Jallow were wonderful people. They were very hospitable and professional. I highly recommend this hotel.

Fantastically built on the Atlantic shores . A mix of contemporary and African heritage in design . Environmental setting is tropical.in nature. Adjoining Indian restaurant (the Flavour)added to the intercontinental ambience during our stay.Craftmanship of the house keepers is awesome and bathroom shower floor is the safest i have seen . Breakfast menu needs to be more generous for long stays

The food was really good! The staff was friendly and happy to help and facilitate logistics issues.

A small hiccup at the level of the management that was not pleasant but the overall friendliness of the staff made up for it.

Facility maintenance is diligent but facilities are dated and in need of refurbishing

The food was excellent, the place was awesome and the staff are very polite and always so helpful. Everyone is smiling and seems to be enjoying their work. The wonderful beach and weather are a bonus.

Maybe some drumming performance
