The pool was freezing 🥶 The shower in the room, the height can not be adjusted, and therefore made everything wet in there, you get charged to change your beach towel,,,, The staff are the best, friendly, approachable and helpful, end of season therefore not much entertainment for the children. Great location. Once you leave the hotel for a nice quiet walk on the beach, be prepared to be hassled non stop...it gets overwhelming 🫨 Security on point, safe in room, no iron in room but can be requested, bring adapters albeit they have 1 UK standard plug socket. It can get extremely cold and windy by the sea of an evening, so bring something warm - a cardigan, lightweight jacket.. Would recommend it, would stay again, but only because the staff were so nice. Check the silver man. Great Jewellery, if that's your thing...... Food was good, but bring immodium ......

I stayed in the newer rooms that were excellent. My collegue was in the older section that was not as comfortable and needs upgrading. The deluxe room is big and comfortable. The staff are just the best. Friendly and attentive. I was fasting during my trip and they went the extra mile to ensure that I had whatever I needed.

You only get one bottle of water when you first get to the room. You have to get your own water for the rest of your stay although there is a water dispenser at the restaurant to refill your bottles. The television in my room was not connected to any channels yet. That wasn't really a big deal for me as I was there for work.

We really liked the location and the rooms. Good WiFi. The food was excellent. Most of the staff were rally nice!

Some staff act unprofessional towards women (asking for going on a walk, phone number, etc.).

This location is an oasis in the centre of a desert. From the moment you arrive to being waved off at the door, it is excellent. An efficient happy productive team is always.led by quality caring management and "Sunset Beach Hotel" is a prime example of caring management leading a very efficient and happy "gang" who.take pride in their tasks be it the entertsinment team, cleaners, security, gardeners, chefs, bar staff, or.restaurant staff, excellent service all round. The restaurant serves a lovely fresh selection of local and international cuisine, and the staff are happy to try and meet any special requirements or dietary needs. The grounds are maintained immaculately with hedges and flower beds creating private gardens between the "cottages" Local mixers, spirits, and beers flow freely all day while there is a very small reasonable charge for imported and high-end spirits. The evening entertainment generally runs from 8pm till 10pm and consists of bands, acoustic artists, and karaoke, very well received. The hotel is located in a very quite secluded corner of the beach with a variety of bars and restaurants dotted around outside in easy walking distance. Great place 👌

Nothing, everything was excellent, a real family atmosphere.

This is the second year we have returned to this hotel. I can honestly say that I have never felt so welcomed, no wonder ppl come back every year! The chef's were outstanding and were ready to cater to dietary requirements. Food was fantastic, good selection which includes fresh salad,beans and local honey! Bar staff were amazing along with waitresses and waiters. Housekeeping go above and beyond! Gardeners and security along with reception team all work hard to ensure guests enjoy the holiday!!

The hotel and staff are extremely welcoming. The grounds are beautiful and well tended. The Aesthetics of the hotel are beautiful well propotioned and every where is easily accessible. We stayed in the new suites. Which were absolutley wonderful. The linen the furnishings and furniture were of a very high standard. The attention to detail and design were the best I have seen in gambia. We have stayed at most of the hotels in gambia over 30 years, and sunset is always our favourite, however it has just gotten better and exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend this hotel.

The place is amazing just in the beach,you can listen the ocean sound when you are in the bed and wake up with birds songs!! You can the ocean brise and the views are great! The Sunset in the beach even the storms with the beach, coconuts Palms... Is Magic. The rooms are a small Houses clean and confortables, the pool with the See views, the restaurant with diferentes dishes Gambiana and internacional, the big breakfast, the gardens with a lot of butterflies and flowes... But the best of Sunsetbeach is the people, they are a small family and everyone from the recepcion, waiters, security, gardeners, cleaners, chefs...All of them have always a Happy face and smile for you. And you fell you are part of their Happy family. Thank you. Abaraka bat!!!

Everyone looked after each other ….great hotel. Management made it very comfortable for us, the chef looked after all our culinary taste As half of our group are vegetarians.

It was very personal able , we all got on with fellow guest, Karaoke , entertainment every night , shows with drumming and dancing. County and western singer !!! Participant, lend !!! Great fun .. by all !!!! Position well you can take great walks along the beach and check out the other hotels !!!!

The staff here is wonderful. They are all very kind - the bar and restaurant, room housekeeping attendants (specifically Alex), Arrison the gardener, and front desk (Riquita). Everyone was very helpful and always asking how my day ways and making sure I was enjoying Gambia. The accomodations are great value. Very good breakfast, clean rooms and facilites, great location, and beautiful pool with beach views. The rooms are very spacious and pretty and the house keeping attendants do a great job cleaning every day. My room attendant, Alex, made beautiful flower designs each day and was very friendly and polite. If i was in the room working he was very mindful and did not disturb me. Wifi was not bad. About 10 Mbps by the pool but I wouldn't rely on it for seamless service. Video calls weren't always perfect but I had no issue getting an africell sim card and connecting my phone to my laptop for video calls. I was able ti work and there were many others working remotely from the hotel besides me. Conveniently located in a central part of Gambia and although the prices are a bit high the taxis and bicycles are right outside the hotel for convenience. At one point I did forget my watch on my pool chair and the pool attendant came to deliver it to me in my room, very kind.
