The service from the staff was exceptional. We were able to store our bikes in the garage, the staff even helped us carry them in. The food was great and the restaurant took great care to cater to food allergies. The river view had a lovely view of the river and it was spectacular looking over the river at night from the bed.

The room/bathroom was not renovated but it really didn’t matter and was factored into the price. It was quite quaint and charming and we enjoyed our stay.

My husband and I were Cycle Touring and arrived here in a thunderstorm. We were very wet but warmly welcomed by the owner. He took us around to the garage first so that we could lock our bikes away safely. Then we registered and were shown personally to our room up stairs on the 3rd floor. I even had my panniers carried for me. That was a first for me, many thanks for that. Our room was awesome, named "Jennifer", large window overlooking the Rhein river, couch, coffee table, great bed and super large bathroom. We could sit on the bed and watch the ships go by and look out at the large chateau on the other side of the river. The breakfast area was magical. The atrium type room was a really nice space to be in and eat our well presented breakfast. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed on the day we arrived, but there are other restaurants close by. Even though we had no German language, it wasn't a barrier. We were welcomed and managed to work through all communications with waving hands, pen and paper and humour. A nice welcome by the owner. Our room overlooked the Rhine. We had good weather and the view was excellent. Our room was comfortable with a good sized bathroom. It was recently redecorated with not a mark anywhere. Unlike so many hotels the lighting in the room was good. An ample breakfast with the breakfast room overlooking the river. Easy parking. Hotel Vater Rhein will certainly be added to our list of places that we will stay again.

Love the location in front of the Rhein with a good choice of restaurants along the river. The rooms are spacious and very clean breakfast is excellent with plenty of choice. The hotel has free parking . We have stayed here on 3 trips to Germany for 2 nights while visiting castles near by and highly recommended it. Will be returning next year.

Brilliant location. Massive bedrooms. Nothing was too much trouble. Free car park at rear. Very clean. My aunt had a room facing the Rhein and it was like a suite. Bathrooms are exceptionally large as well. Lots of restaurants to choose from. You could drive anywhere. Breakfast. Something for everyone and lots of it. Very accommodating owner. I would definitely stay again and I don’t say that lightly

A very nice place, great lady of the house and her young assistant, too. The room was cosy, clean and with the Rhein view. The bathroom was almost as big as the room! Parking was easy and safe. The breakfast was very tasty!

We liked everything!

The owner came out to meet us on our arrival. She immediately offered the garage for our motorcycles. The rooms were large and welcoming with very comfortable beds. Breakfast was plentiful. Cereal, and good selection of cooked meats and cheese with fresh rolls. Facing the Rhine on the promenade. The four of us only stayed one night, but a place to definitely visit again.

In a scenic historic village, right on the Rhine. The hosts were really kind and the room was in a really special spot over a walkway. Restaurants, bank, geyser spa and breathtaking views all in walking distance. We also crossed the river further south on the mini-ferry and visited the Roman museum.

For the third time, we're vacationing at this wonderful place, and everything is excellent as always – clean, quiet, and beautiful, with a very good breakfast. Friendly staff, highly recommend.

Fantastic location on the Rhine with walking path and great restaurants. Charming bedroom with view of the river. Good breakfast including fresh fruit (blueberries, apples), yogurt, muesli, coffee, orange juice. Friendly hosts.
