The included buffet breakfast was amazing! I can't get over how good these European breakfasts are. I skip the needless carbs (wonderful sweet rolls, bread, etc.) and head for the fresh cut fruit, yoghurt, and muesli. The bonus here was a hot buffet with eggs, bacon, sausage, etc. I was fully fueled for a long bike ride, and also brought along some apples and kiwis for the rest of the day on the bike.

The bathroom was a little dated, it's time for a refresh. Also, I paid extra to get a room with a balcony, and ended up with one along the side of the building when I was hoping for a river facing one. I didn't end up spending that much time in the room anyway, but it would have been nice to see the boats going by.

As others also reviewed, the furniture is old, same as the Spa, but the size of the family room , the fantastic river view and the location definetly make up for it. I really don t remember such a big room in any hotel where we stayed.And it was all carpeted. Our little one was very happy to run around :) The food, both buffet and the evening menu, was really outstanding. So all in all I warmly recommend this hotel. The newer ones have much higher prices.

Stayed here before lovely hotel by the river with a free safe carpark .room excellent as was the breakfast. I was given a free room upgrade with a river view unfortunately they charged me for it .I was a bit tired but when I looked at the paper work went back down and they gave me the extra money back . .

Excellent room with balcony and outstanding view of the Rhine River

I had planned to stay in another hotel. Without my knowledge I was diverted to this property. It wasn’t apparent that I was “ Halbpension”. We didn’t need this additional service.

Location is good. Would have liked to have stayed longer and explore the local area. More convenient than Bad Honingen for Nurburgring.

Lack of parking but no different to any hotel during the summer season.

The size of the room and bathroom. The food. The free parking. The view of the river form my balcony. Not too far from the main motorway. Quiet despite the regular river traffic.

The bed was comfortable to sleep in but the old fashioned 70's style of bedhead meant it was difficult to sit up and read my book as the mattress is about 30cm from the wall and then the bed ends up taking up more of the room than it needs to. A more upright bedhead please.

Stayed here before so knew everything would be perfect. Right on the Rhine promenade with a good big safe carpark .good room good breakfast and staff were friendly and helpful.24 hour reception so no ringing bell etc .

Room a bit small, very bad pillow, bed linen not great, unlike last year which was better.

This hotel is situated right on the bank of the Rhine with only a foot/cycle way between it and the river. You can sit and watch the boats go past to your heart’s content! Having breakfast on the terrace in the warm sunshine was so quiet and peaceful because the hotel blocks out all the noise from the town behind. The rooms overlooking the river mostly have balconies which get the sun in the morning but not the evening. While on the river side of the hotel there is no sound from Bad Breisig, be aware that the town on the other bank, Bad Honningen, sometimes has special days when there is a funfair and a knees up in the evening - which is what was happening the night I was there, and the sound from that is quite intrusive. (But there is a ferry over to the other side so at least if you can’t beat them you can nip over and join them!)

The hotel is part of quite a large complex with numerous meeting rooms which seem to get well used by a whole number of businesses and some self-catering lodges so during the day it can be quite busy with a lot of people around all talking and laughing. This made it quite hard to make out what the receptionist was trying to say, made even worse by the fact he couldn’t really speak English, which was disappointing for a hotel trying to attract custom from international businesses. My bed was very low and for me the mattress was too firm. My left hip ached all the next day!
