The host was very welcoming and pleasant. The hotel was very well maintained, and the dining room was beautiful.

Although everything about the hotel was great. There literally is nowhere to eat. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant, so even though it is in a great location for the Elbe radweg. Be aware that you will need to dine long before arriving in the village. The nearest restaurants are an 8 mile return cycle ride. Although there is a well stocked supermarket 5 minutes walk from the hotel.

It was a second time we booked here as we really like this hotel when we do the road trip from the UK to Poland. The staff is always welcoming and the breakfast is amazing, such a wide variety and very tasty! We book the large room for 5 people and it realy is more like 2 large rooms connected to each other and 1 bathroom which is perfect. If you arrive late, they will leave the key in a safe box. We like the location too, it is very quiet. We will definitely be back.

We like pretty much everything about this place, maybe rooms are a little outdated but great in size and they have all the amenities we need. Also, some people may say it is far from the motorway, but we like it as the road goes through a beautiful forest and blooming fields!

No meals available except for breakfast. The only nearby cafe and restaurant were closed or could not accept a party of 6 people for dinner. So we had to resort to eating miscellaneous food bought in the nearby supermarket (Edeka). The hotel boss is a great guy. He kindly provided plates, glasses and cutlery for the improvised supermarket-dinner at the rooftop terrace. Big rooms. Avoid the 3rd floor rooms during heat waves. The email login procedure on Wifi request you share your Facebook login details! This is not okay. Breakfast was great. They provided special decoration to make the breakfast very special for our birthday celebration. The reception even chimed in with a bottle of champagne. Great indoor and secure parking for our bicycles.

Very friendly receptionist. I had the pleasure of being greeted in French (my mother tongue) by Andrea. Andrea very kindly organised a booking for dinner for the 7 of us at the only Kneipe open in Pretzsch that night. The location is superb : very rural in the middle of a park. They have facilities to store bicycles

The hotel is a bit dated. But maybe this was part of the charm.

It has its charm - a bit dated but well maintained and super clean, facing a nice park and you can get a room with a view if you are lucky. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also good and served till later on the weekends. The hotel provided secure storage space for the bikes.

The hotel is older but from our point of view very comfortable and sufficient. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was clean (we stayed in the attic), the beds very comfortable. Dinner in the hotel restaurant excellent, breakfast as expected. Plenty of space for bicycles, proximity to the castle park and quiet location were a bonus.

Realistically, we didn't miss anything. Some may be bothered by the older equipment, but everything was clean and we felt comfortable in the hotel and room.

We stayed here for one night as we were travelling through Europe. The rooms were very clean and spacious, the staff was amazing. We were running late and they waited for us so we could check in which was greatly appreciated. The breakfast was delicious and wide selection available. We didn't have time to explore the area unfortunately but we highly recommend this hotel.

Well-appointed stately hotel, centrally located with generous views and access to adjacent park, true to its namesake. Staff were very helpful and personable. Great breakfast. Highly recommended!
