Wittenberg Altstadt. my room was facing the inner courtyard as requested during the booking process, so it was quiet. room was clean but old-fashioned and with an ugly office-style carpet, bathroom large and good

very limited opening hours of the reception. Check in starts at 15.00 hrs , but check-out is extremely early until 10.30 hrs only. Never had such thing anywhere in Germany at a regular hotel. Not customer-friendly at all. No fridge in the room, no AC (well, it's an old historical building). very small TV set. I wasn't there for tourism, I just needed a place to sleep that doesn't break the bank. Value for money wasn't great

Friendly and helpful staff. Very pleasant and comfortable room. The hotel is right in the centre of Wittenberg and a five minute walk from the Aldstadt train station (the Hauptbahnhof is a good 10-15 minute walk). Breakfast is a good and varied selection. The attached Brauhaus has a very pleasant courtyard and serves excellent beers and hearty meals.

As it is a historic building there is no lift and quite a lot of stairs.

Absolutely perfect old city center location.

It's no joke about the stairs...we had family that really struggled with the multi-level/multiple stairs set up. Don't recommend it for those with ambulation issues. You HAVE to be able to get up multiple flights of stairs with luggage. In the heat of the summer, lack of aircon was a challenge even with fans which were provided. The mattresses were more like camp mattresses.

Upon arrival the reception was very helpful The room was very spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. We dined in the restaurant for evening meal, and the food was excellent and the staff were very helpful with a good sense of humour. The breakfast was plentiful Great location. The staff in Charles bar were also very pleasant.

Great central location. Restaurant behind the hotel was really good with friendly staff and hearty meals with local seasonal ingredients. Room was clean and comfortable. Nice view over the courtyard to the church from the window.

Rather indifferent reception staff. Not a great welcome. Strange long dark corridors to get to the room. Early check out.

Loved the location right in the middle of the old town. Loved the restaurant and the food was excellent. Overall a great stay! Parking was convenient right next door.

very central to all the sites of this town. staff were very welcoming. The manager helped carry our luggage as the steps up we’re difficult. The car park at the rear was accessible. Breakfast was good, the young girl extremely good ensured all was topped up if needed. The main restaurant food serving local fayre also good.

The steps up and down stairs. we managed but some maybe couldn’t. But, if you can, don’t be put off.

The staffs are so nice and helpful, especially for me whom can't speak Germany. The room is clean and tidy. The location is near to the shops and restaurants, and especially to the All Saint's Church or Schlosskirche (Lutherstadt Wittenberg). The building is also so historical.

The view from our room was fantastic looking toward St. Marien Church. Definitely sunrise from our room was a highlight. 3rd floor room. Drinking at the pub where Martin Luther was. Cute room with simple charm. Breakfast had plenty of options.

Bed was a bit hard for my liking and you can hear church bells all night long. ( They don't stop in middle of night like some towns do.)

Great place to stay in the old town, we really liked that they had free parking out the back. Would suggest adding a kettle in the rooms for basic tea and coffee making.
