Since I arrived after 20:30 I expected to have trouble getting in (based on other reviews that said the reception closes early), but they had waited for me, which was very nice. The room was a good size and even had a mini fridge, which is the first time I’ve seen this in a Gasthaus after 2,5 years of living in Germany. Everything was sparkling clean and the bathroom was very modern and looked like it had been recently remodeled.

The door doesn‘t really block noise from the hallway, so you can hear other people talking and opening and closing their doors (though this is not necessarily worse than the average hotel). Also despite very good windows, the hotel is directly on a small but busy street and I could hear cars passing by (even a little with ear plugs). Also not really a “bad” thing, but there are only a few parking spots available and it costs an additional 7,50€ per night, and must be reserved ahead of time. This wasn’t entirely clear to me from the booking.com page, and though I did send a message on the day of arrival saying I would need a parking spot, the hosts didn’t see the message. They were very accommodating and managed to make it work, but just be aware to ask for this further in advance.

The room vas very clean. The owner was very friendly and projected very good energy during entire stay . He also followed up with me multiple times to ensure that I arrive before 21:00 because if not he would leave mi keys so I could enter later myself. The value for money was for me extremely good as I needed to sleep and take shower only. Everything was meticulously clean.

I am searching my mind, however, the stay was so great that I cannot find one negative comment.

Very clean, great location.

It was late June and hot which made it difficult to sleep at night. They were so gracious as to lend me their one and only fan. It would be great if they did have fans on hand for the hot months. They do have heating for the cold months.

Large comfortable and clean rooms. Very friendly staff. Parking in front was convenient. Short walk to train station. Close to parks, shops & restaurants.

Location was great, room was very clean and comfortable!

The reception was closed after 18:00, which wasn't clearly communicated beforehand. I had to call and wait for information of how to retrieve my key, which was right there in a key lock box. Would have been easier to just email me the key code when I hadn't arrived by 18:00 :) Also, there was no breakfast.
