Outstanding experience!!! We had a junior suite .The rooms are furnished like in Graf Palace. Many interesting , unusual, antiques peaces I found in that place. For example, a French cast iron coal hod, unique towel holder, and many others. I really appreciate the trusting and respectful attitude of the owners of this hotel toward their guests. This suit has two separate rooms (big size). It has a kitchenette. Tha mattress is comfortable for us. Very quet and peaceful place. Along with splendor, it is not without coziness and comfort.

This place has a history and heart. You can feel that in every corner of this charming ancient building . Highly recommended! At least ones in a life everyone has to experience such unique atmospheric night stay. Beautiful representation of a deep german historical and cultural masterpiece and at the same time very warm and friendly owner, always ready to help! This place is wonderful. It's like a palace - big manor that was owned by a family since the 14th century. It's really beautiful, like a museum. There was even a little kitchen and all the amenities needed in the cabinets. The hostess was very very nice, kind, and very responsive with every question and need. The surroundings are very beautiful too - green and calm.

Our room was very hot. There was direct sun, so in June this became quite hot to stay in, and I'd say the beds were quite stiff. Otherwise, wonderful stay.

The property was beautiful and the receptionist was so sweet and welcoming! Beautiful grounds and lots of history!

We unfortunately were there during a hot week so I’m sure normally not having AC is normal but it was 80 degrees in the rooms. There should at least be large fans in the rooms to help offset this and there were not. Showers took 10 minutes to get warm water but this wasn’t the worst since it was quite hot

We loved the place around the property, we loved the property, we loved the interiors of the property. We we pleasantly surprised by the piano in the room, the hidden chess board. The absolutely outstandingly best attitude of Mrs Birgitt. We loved the portraits of all kaisers, the woodwork, the bed. Honestly it would be much easier if we told you what we did not love and that is exactly nothing.

It is almost impossible to dislike something at this place, to be honest. But if I have to squeeze my thoughts real hard then maybe... the WIFI was off at times or perhaps my phone's radio was too weak to catch it from the bedroom (it is a big suite - the Kaiser Suite). It could also be that I forgot to press the "Go Online" button on the WIFI landing page. Adding a washing machine would make it all 101% complete (we stayed for a week, so maybe this is not something needed usually). Perhaps if one stayed too long at this place they wouldn't wanna go back home?

The place is easy reachable but in a quiet and green area of Bochum. The rooms have been tasteful decorated and equipped with antique furniture, pictures, vases, desks, tables so that it seems you enter the 17th century. Despite this fact everything is perfectly usable and intended to be used. Great was, that we could choose between 3 different suites in little bit different styles. We chose finally the wedding suite which had beautiful furniture and some "special" features. The area around a green garden with a lot of fantastic locations to take pictures and to enjoy the scenery. The staff was very friendly and helpful. All suites have been equipped with kitchen, to have a self made meal. Despite us staying during a winter day, the suite was warm and cosy. Bathrooms were modern style and nothings was missed. We truly enjoyed our short stay and would defiantly come back to try another of the awesome and unique rooms.

Unfortunately there is no restaurant and no breakfast. However the kitchenette allows the cooking of meals. We used a nice restaurant in walking distance which had great food in a good variety.

Brigette was lovely and very accommodating when we made a late booking due to a change of plans, welcoming us after the usual check-in hours. Apartment was a really good size, very clean and in a quiet location although quite close to the motorway. Would stay again!

Very friendly hosts. We indicated in advance that we were looking for a place to sit together with our friends to play board games. They took care of this for us. Many thanks for that! The rooms are special in terms of decoration. I've never seen anything like it. You'll be amazed.

Coffee maker contained old filter. Otherwise it was very clean.

It’s a castle! The rooms are the dopest thing ever. The lady that checked me in was super nice. The place was spotless clean. And there is no way you go in one of these rooms and stay unimpressed.
