Stylish hotel, decent breakfast. Our room was rather spacious, with great shower and comfortable bed. Located perfectly for a visit to Starlight Express.

The staff at the check-in did not mention any deposit being blocked, we had to find out from the push notification that they charged more than expected. They then promised the deposit will be released at checkout. Once again we confirmed that when checking out. It has been 3 weeks since the checkout and the amount is still blocked! Of course, they no longer care once you’ve checked out.

Great location, very clean and organised. The staff was friendly enough. The room was really nice, and the beds were probably the best hotel beds I have ever slept on. The hotel was also extremely sound proof, this is a big, big plus! Nice little gym with plenty of stuff to do my workouts. And the biggest plus of all it was really close to the Starlight Express Theater and close to the city centre.

The airco in the room didn't work super well, but with an open window we managed well. I guess in the summer it will be quite hot.

I had the opportunity to stay in two different rooms, and both were equally impressive in terms of comfort and style. Overall, my brief stay at Moxy Bochum was very enjoyable. The combination of stylish decor, excellent food, and comfortable accommodations made it a standout choice. I would definitely recommend it and would be happy to return for a longer stay. I was disappointed to find that the rooms lacked both a fridge and coffee/tea -making facilities. This absence was quite inconvenient, especially for a longer stay

Brand new finishes. Nice colors and creative adds in the room like a light that goes under the bed when you step out in the night, instead of having to turn lights on. Playful communal spaces and nice fitness room. Definitely catering towards millennials. It was an easy walk for us to go to an event at the Bochum Planetarium.

No food at bar in evening, but Italian restaurant across the street had amazing salads, pizzas, homemade bread and anything we needed.

Went for a concert, location could not have been better for us., right next door. The hotel is very contemporary, rooms where big enough for one night. Wifi signal excellent throughout the hotel.

The waiting time to get served at the bar was too long, plenty of staff but only a couple actually serving. In our opinion the breakfast at €16 each was not very good value for money, Limited choice, long queue times for the food, and bacon cooked to an inch of its life

Ample parking facilities, Nice clean decor with modern interior layout. A very nice reception, lovely bar with traditional and quirky seating options all around. My room was fresh and well equipt with a nice modern feel, Brilliant bathroom.

In my room the temprature control panel does not work very efficiently, the tv features in my room were poor.

The interior of the lobby and bar is AMAZING. The staff – even better! Especially, Jess. Always went out of her way to help us with literally anything. Thank you! Love that the reception and bar are 24/7. There’s always someone to help which is a nice feeling. :)

The breakfast was excellent: lots of different products in good quality. The room was clean and the beds were quite comfy, but they had some kind of protective cover made of plastic under the regular sheets, which made me sweat a lot during the night. The shower was ok, but rather small. The Starlight Express Theater is only a few minutes walk away, the Stadtpark on the opposite side of the street. Bochum city center is about 1 km away - it's a nice stroll through the Stadtpark.

All guests were required to wear face masks in public areas by domiciliary rights - which would have been ok for me, if they had actually enforced it. But in the dining room, there were not only guests but also staff not wearing the face mask. We stayed for only one night in the hotel, but for anyone staying longer this might be interesting: a flyer in the elevator indicated, that rooms are cleaned only 3 times a week, not daily.

Hotel Bochum is conveniently close located to Starlight Express theatre, VfL Bochum Stadium and Bochum City. The Breakfast buffet has a small but good choice of continental and american/ british options. Room 717 has a nice view over Bochum.

The hotel just recently changed ownership, details on Booking.com, specially photos and hotel details are not up to date and misleading. Waiting times for the lift to the top floor (7th Floor) are too long. There is no restaurant at the hotel.

everything and I cant give you one single reason why I could fault this oh so happy and friendly Hotel , the staff ,the ambiance the food and drinks and very very safe in every way , loved it
