The bathroom was fully fitted and a good size with a window that opened. Although the room was small, there was plenty of storage space, tea making facilities and comfortable beds. The room was tidied each day. There was no air con but a good fan was available. All windows opened. The lift worked well and the breakfast was very good indeed with an excellent choice of tasty breads, pastries, meats, cheeses, eggs, cereals and muesli. The hot drinks were super. The staff were all unfailingly obliging and friendly. Excellent position for the rail station and our early morning train. Superb value for money.

Quite a long flight of steps up to the main door was a bit of a struggle with suitcases.

The staff was helpful and friendly. They welcomed us warmly, check-in was easy and fast. The triple room was convenient and spacious. The bathroom was very clean and there were sufficient clean towels and other supplies for three people. The first room was very quiet and easy to fall asleep. Our second room, double one was a bit noisy but no problem. The breakfast was very enjoyable and hearthy. The location was great, very close to center train station and other transportation such as tram and bus. It was easy to walk to city center, cafes, restaurants, markets and other shopping areas.

There were some homeless people around the hotel but they didn't disturb us.

The hotel is in a great location, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. There is a secure parking lot available for €10 per day, which is very convenient. The breakfast was above average, offering a good selection of fresh options. Additionally, the cleanliness of the hotel exceeded expectations, creating a comfortable and pleasant stay. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel for its value and amenities.”

It’s worth noting that the street outside the hotel can feel a bit uncomfortable at night due to the presence of certain individuals & their louds.

Big room. Cool old character building. Secure parking (you can pay €10 for the normal parking or €12 for the underground garage). Friendly staff. Great breakfast, ALOT of space and variety of food. Didn't feel over busy in there. ALOT of the reviews complained about the area which did make me worried about staying there but we felt this was nothing to worry about when we arrived. Every big city has characters and sometimes some areas contain more. To reach the hotel we did drive down one street which seemed quite dodgy as such but the street which the hotel was on was fine. We didn't explore Bremen, we were literally there for a stop over so not sure what it was like to walk around at night but our stay was fine. The car park was secure and the other guests at the hotel seemed rather posh so clearly it's a fancy place.

The lift was old and a little concerning but it seemed to work fine.

November 2024

I visited Bremen for the weekend to attend Alphaville's FOREVER YOUNG tour and chose this hotel due to its proximity to the Metropol Theater. The location was excellent—not only was it close to the Altstadt, but it was also easy to find using navigation. Despite being centrally located, the hotel was remarkably quiet, and I had no trouble sleeping. Noise pollution wasn’t an issue at all. The Wi-Fi was reliable enough for me to finish some work on my laptop, and I appreciated that the room included a desk for this purpose. Breakfast was included with my stay, and I was impressed with the variety. There was a good balance of sweet and savory options, with plenty of choices like breads, yogurts, and spreads. Additionally, there were ample seats available in the dining area. The staff were kind, helpful, and all spoke English, which made my stay even more convenient. A special mention goes to the 24-hour help desk—it’s great knowing you can re-enter the hotel without any issues, even late at night. If I return to Bremen and need a hotel, I’d definitely consider staying here again. Thank you for the pleasant experience!

During my stay, I noticed two areas that could use improvement. The first is the parking situation. Currently, parking spaces are limited, partly due to ongoing road construction. If the hotel’s parking lot is full, you’ll need to park on the street—but only until 8 a.m., when you’ll have to move your car and hope a spot has opened up at the hotel in the meantime. While parking at the hotel is convenient, it costs €10 per night. The second issue was the size of the bathroom, which was quite small. However, for a short stay of two nights, this wasn’t a significant problem.

My second stay here, and as before it gave me everything I needed for a good stay. As bonus bathroom had just been recently refurbished to a very high standard. Room in third floor at rear very quite. Excellent breakfast. Very secure parking, in basement very important for anyone with a motorbike. Fisrt class location , everything nearby, Banhoff, and city center shops.

Nothing.

We stayed at Hotel Bremer Haus for three days and were generally satisfied with our experience. The location is convenient, and the overall service was good. However, the breakfast selection could be improved with more variety. Additionally, the reception staff could be a bit warmer and more welcoming. The hotel amenities are somewhat outdated and could benefit from some renovation. Despite these minor points, our stay was pleasant, and we would consider staying here again.

Staff were terrific, friendly, responsive to any requests, helpful, communicated well in English, which was a bonus for me. The hotel was quiet. The location was a short walk to the old city, and a short walk to the train station, and all the trams.

There were lots of street people and drug users around the train station and near the hotel. That was kind of scary. Panhandlers as well, but no aggression. Being female and travelling solo meant that I stayed in after dark because I did not feel safe in the neighbourhood after dark.

Very friendly and helpful staff. They have a locked garage for bicycles. Hotel is a bit old but very clean, breakfast was very good (6:30 it's ready). Surprisingly calm considering the location. Supermarket 150m, train station 5min walk.

The area around between the hotel and especially around the train station is rather shady. I would not want to walk around there alone at night.

The hotel is in a good location with respect to the city center, but the neighborhood is rather run-down. There was street noise at night, and traffic noise in the morning. The hotel facilities were quite good, though, and we were generally pleased with our stay.

Other than the noisy neighborhood, the only other real issue was the parking situation. The lot access was very tight, and the spaces in the lot itself were small, which made unloading and loading difficult.
