The rooms are very modern, large, comfortable and quiet. Everywhere is spotless and very well maintained to a very high standard. The Staff are exceptional (especially the reception staff - they couldn't do enough for you - so helpful.) The owner permitted me the use of their private garage parking for my motorcycle

We initially booked one night, but luckily for us someone cancelled due to the weather, so we stayed an extra night but would have liked to have stayed longer but we decided to head for home due to forecast rain.

The staff at Kohlers Hotel Engel was absolutely lovely and helpful. The room was comfortable and spacious and we really loved the breakfast which had a bit of everything for everyone. We also had a dinner at their restaurant which was amazing. We came for Easter weekend to go hike in the Black Forest and the hotel was ideally located if you have a car to drive to the main hiking points. It's quiet and they even have electric charging stations to plug your car in the Hotel parking, which was very convenient for us. The spa area was also a big +, it's smaller than your tipical spa, but clean and surpisingly well done for a small hotel like this one. I recommend this place and would book it again !

A spacious hotel with a nice restaurant and friendly staff. Very clean and I appreciated the fan in the in the room since it was so hot when we visited. We enjoyed the large variety at breakfast.

Too little variety on the restaurant menu. We would’ve appreciated more smaller items.

Only 1 thing. The pillows were useless ( no head support) and there were only 1 one each bed with no spares in the room. There should a firmer pillow option for those who need it.

Breakfast was excellent. Choice of selective serials, eggs and drinks. Coffee served at the tables. Rooms had space enough and were quiet. Location of the hotel was perfect for a relaxing stay.

Wellness facilities were off when we enter the wellness area. One hour was lost to fix this problem by the owner.

In my case the hotel was used on my way back from Italy. It's conveniently close to the highway and easily reachable, but far enough away that you don't hear it. The hotel has plenty of parking available. The room was spacious and the breakfast was very good.

My room had the shower under the slanted roof, which made it almost impossible to stand under it. The bed was not the most comfortable, but was ok.

We used this hotel for a stop over, and it was very good for that. Close to the highway, restaurant available, good room, good breakfast. But the hotel deserves more, could be a good place to spend a few days and enjoy the Schwarzwald (Black Forrest).

Everything was good or excellent.

Everything in this hotel is high quality and great attention to details. Wasn’t cheap, but WAY cheaper then staying in Baden Baden, and only at 15 min drive away. Spotless clean, super polite, great food, nice spacious rooms, great spa facilities with available towels and bath robes. Oh, and a nice play room for kids! Such a pleasure for us and kids!

Fantastic hidden a gem! I was a real pleasure to visit this Family Hotel for a first time but not last.

Welcoming place, with comfortable beds and everything was spotless clean. Excellent breakfast with quality items.
