Superb location right next to a forest trail and on top of a high hill from where you can see for over 20 km. The castle ruins and adjacent well-maintained medieval-looking buildings create a romantic atmosphere that makes one feel supremely relaxed. Dinner and breakfast were very nice with properly trained staff. The place was sparkling clean which was great. Parking is very easy at the location and is free. I can't give it a full 10 due to some relatively minor inconveniences, but let's be honest, this is an amazing place and we will surely come back soon.

The beds are not the most comfortable (also kind of squeaky) and the pillows were very deflated so we had a bit of trouble sleeping. Also the rooms were a bit hot and while they have really good fans to help, it can become quite uncomfortable in 32-degree days. Couldn't open the windows at night due to the absence of mosquito nets. What I found just a bit strange was that I felt I had to pull words out of the reception person's mouth. He was very amiable and friendly in disposition, but we had to ask about each thing like breakfast and dinner options, location, wi-fi password, etc. instead of him giving us a quick run-down of the essentials. I'm sure he is very busy with so much other work, but just found it a bit strange we had to ask for every detail.

The location is incredible, with amazing views out over the Rhine Valley and woodland with plenty of interesting walking trails directly behind the hotel. The building is old & the decor is traditional but nothing feels dated; everything is clean and well maintained. The room was cozy & featured a 4-poster bed. The restaurant serves an excellent menu with lots of different dishes including vegetarian & vegan options. Dogs are welcome in the room & at dinner. There is a sauna & fitness suite in the basement which is accesible to all guests and can be privately booked for 90 min sessions. Most importantly, all of the staff were extremely friendly & competent and made us feel very welcome.

Not the easiest place to reach if you don't have a car, but there are buses available from Bühl. However, you can only get one back to town if you phone in advance to request it, and on the day we left there wasn't one available. We took a taxi back to the station instead, which was fine but quite expensive. The TV in the room is quite small by modern standards, with no satellite or streaming services, but it wasn't a big deal - there is plenty to do here in nature rather than stay in & watch TV! The restaurant is relatively expensive, but the food is delicious & portions are generous, so you get what you pay for.

The view from the room was absolutely stunning, making my stay feel special. The staff behavior was excellent. They were attentive, polite, and always willing to help, which made the overall experience much better.

The breakfast was quite normal and could use a bit more variety or excitement. It wasn’t bad, just a bit underwhelming compared to the rest of the experience.

Exactly as described. Dinner and cake was amazing. Stunning surrounding with excellent hiking possibilities. It's possible to explore the castle and go up the tower at the weekend. A real treat.

Breakfast was OK but not good compared with the other food served. I planned to arrive by bus. The hotel website had no information about this, and the person on the phone did not either. I arrived at the bus stop as detailed but then found out the bus I needed was required to be reserved a minimum 45 minutes earlier. Therefore I had to find a taxi phone number --- also not provided by the hotel, but at a different hotel in Bühl.

The restaurant was amazing and very accomodating and patient with my wiggly 4 and 5 year olds. The Accomodations were very comfortable. And the location was perfect, quiet with a playground and hiking trails on site. It was starting to get really cold when we arrived but we were still well entertained.

It could use a cozy lobby not part of the restaurant to get the kids out of the room while still not having to be in the elements at all times.

Location is perfect & particularly the food and the local wine on the terrace of the restaurant ; the whole experience is memorable. Close to the walking trails.Beautiful views.

The room to the south was very warm and it took hours to cool it off.

Minor issue: The room was in a different house than the reception and the breakfast venue. The parking is a little far. Given the bad weather would be more enjoyable to have both nearby.

A really nice place with an awesome view. The Panorama restaurant offers great local cuisine and excellent service. Breakfast was great as well.

We had a two-storey family room and the bathroom was only on the second level. Was expected though.

Amazing location with a fantastic view, the staff is super friendly and helpful, dinner was also very nice with a relaxed atmosphere, good food and wine. Rooms are spacious and very clean.
