Very welcoming place. Spacious room, including a sitting area with armchairs and a coffee table. The room was located on the lower ground floor, below the entrance, but had a French window that opened onto a garden view (see attached photo). Excellent breakfast. At the bottom of the stairs leading to the room was a well-stocked refrigerator with water and various beverages. Although there were language barriers—we only spoke Italian and English, and the owner only German—the owner was extremely kind, giving us suggestions for dinner and places to visit the next day, and even chatting about us and the trip we were taking. A truly sweet person!

The only downside was that there was an unpleasant odor in the hallway leading to our room. However, it should be noted that there was no trace of it inside the room.

This is such a lovely place to stay. You will receive the warmest of welcomes from the owner. We had a lovely time chatting with her and admiring her husband’s fabulous metal art works. The room is beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable and beautiful views over the countryside. Very quiet. It is a short 15 min along a pretty pathway into the town where you will find several options for dinner. Breakfast at the gasthaus was enormous and delicious. We only stayed 1 night on our way home to the UK but would love to visit again and would definitely stay here. Vielen Dank.

A really nice little family run hotel at the end of a quiet road with a short walk through a park to the centre of the village. The hosts could not have been more welcoming and made us feel right at home. The breakfast selection was huge and presented immaculately. Comfortable room with a small balcony and there is also a large outdoor patio area to sit with a drink and admire the view across the hills.

lovely friendly staff and a great buffet continental style breakfast. Great location for accessing the Triberg Waterfalls as you can approach directly from the hotel via. nice 2KM walk and then get the local shuttle bus back up the hill to the hotel. A nice quiet and clam location on the outskirts of Triberg.

The host was welcoming and showed great hospitality during my stay. The room was clean and smelled great upon entering. Shower had hot water and water pressure was good. Hairdryer provided was strong. There's all-day free flow coffee at the common area and a bottle of sparkling water and drinks in the fridge were provided in the room. Breakfast spread was great with a variety of fruits, ham, cheese and bread. Parking is free and just outside the hotel's front porch.

The room had no air con or fan. Have to open the window slightly and risk small insects flying in. It's quite stuffy before sun set but after 10pm it gets cold. Bed is slightly creaky and soft for my liking Had to carry luggage up 4 flights of stairs to my room.

Location was very peaceful, I slept really well. Lady at the reception very friendly and nice. Breakfast good quality. Facilities very good- I stayed at the apartment. I also liked the small robotic landmowers at the backyard. 😁

Amazing host. So friendly and accommodating. The house is so cute. Many adorable touches that make it special. Beds are comfortable and the room we had was the apartment and it was great. Skylights that open into that beautiful black forest sky full of stars. We left ours open. Breakfast was amazing. What a layout. So many fruits, breads, cheeses, meats, waffles and tons of toppings! If we ever come back this way, we will stay here for sure!

Within walking distance of Triberg and its waterfalls, and of several restaurants. Nice and quiet location with a view on the green hills. Warm welcoming by the energetic landlady. Royal breakfast buffet.

Some might find the style slightly old-fashioned, but that did not bother us at all, on the contrary :-)

Landhotel Garni Schweizerhaus is a fantastic choice for a stay. The breakfast is outstanding, and the staff's attentiveness is top-notch. I really liked the interior design of the house, typical for the black forest.

The only minor issue was the nearby construction causing navigation challenges (all streets became one way streets), but prior information in form of a message via Booking.com could have resolved that.

Very friendly staff, very good location, good breakfast, and clean. We could go for a hike and also go easily to Triburg to see the waterfall. We got a pass to use the public transport free of cost, which saved us time to find a parking spot. The hotel uses an environment-friendly option of reusing the towel or not cleaning the room every day.
