Clean large hotel. The desk lady spoke English which was marvellous. We were on the top floor with a great view. There were shampoos and towels which were lovely. Breakfast was buffet style with many different foods, hot and cold. There's onsite parking. The first carpark you drove through is public and free, the hotel car park is behind the hotel through the public car park..

It was very hot being at the top. The door lock was difficult to open, I tried a few times and eventually we figured out the 'trick' to it, but honestly it shouldn't have been that hard. It's useful to know the car park is behind the hotel through the public one.

Breakfast was okay and sufficient - no specific complaints but no fireworks either. The bed and linen was one of the best during our trip - I slept very well. The balcony and the view to the Ruhr river were nice. The possibility to bring luggage up from the parking garage to the upper floors using an elevator was great. A supermarket next door.

The parking spaces in the garage were quite narrow. There was no noticeable information of the dinner opportunity at the hotel (or if there was, we did not see it). However, there was plenty of (fast-food-type) restaurants near-by, e.g. multiple pizzerias.

Location by the river Rhur is very nice, you can go for a walk and enjoy the scenery. Rooms are modern, nice and spacious, everything is clean. Breakfast is served from 6am, which is great if you have an early check-out. A lot of food to chose from. Receptionists are very friendly and staff in restaurant as well.

Parking lot is busy in the evening, you have to park your car outside (parking is availiable, but it's from the store, so you only have 1h of allowance - but during the night is free). Considering the price guest should receive at least one bottle of water per day in the room, everything is payable.

Breakfast was very good with a lot of choices. The evening dinner was good and service was good. The outdoor beer garden was nice and prices reasonable. The walk path along the river was beautiful. Parking was a reasonable price.

There was a very small bottle of water on the table with two glasses, which I assumed was complimentary like in most 4 star hotels. Instead, when asked if I took anything from the minibar, I said no, just the free bottle of water on the table. The receptionist said that was not free and was considered a minibar item and charged me for it (I couldn't read the German notification with the water). I didn't know, or I would not have drunk it since I had my own water. I was surprised a 4 star hotel would be so stingy for large expensive room with a balcony. It was not the amount that bothered me, but the principle.

Great location close to the Ruhr river, very good beds, great restaurant with very good value for the money . Very nice and attentive staff.

The swimming pool is very small and a bit depressing. Better than none though. A bit noise from the road if you sleep with open windows.

The location and surrounding area was beautiful. The activities nearby included mini golf, beer garden, river walk, and boat ride were just some of things you could enjoy. The breakfast had all that you could hope for and reasonably priced. The bed was comfortable and the shower was amazing. Parking outside was only 4 euro a day and pretty secure. Garage parking would have been 8 euro a day.

The expresso was not from real Italian espresso style roast and did not taste very good. Just get real Italian roast beans to roast and that would solve the problem. Other than that there are no complaints.

The location, parking and rooms were good.

It was most surprising that guests could use the pool but had to pay 8 euros to use the adjacent fitness equipment.

Beautiful location along the Ruhr River with views. wonderful grounds with a bier garten, lawns with lots of tables and chairs, mini-golf and a small Children’s playground. Restaurant with garden view dining, room with balcony and river views.

Smoking area right near front door entryway, high prices in the dining room.

Very spacious hotel Friendly family owned hotel Kind staff We chose it a bit randomly on our travel path north and we're very happy with our pick !

Rooms are very clean. Breakfast was always good. Staff are very friendly.
