The hotel is situated in a quiet location close to the forest. Our room was spacious enough and tastefully decorated. The room has a TV, fridge with water (free), kettle, of course towels. In the bathroom you will find shower gel, hand soap, toilet paper and tissues. I liked the design of the shower. I found the bed neither hard nor soft (but maybe I was too tired after a hard day :) ). Dinner and breakfast were buffet style, the menu was varied and tasty. If you take a table by the window, you have a view of the forest (soothing). It was also nice to hear Czech from the kitchen :-) All the staff were friendly and smiling, a little problem was German, but you can also communicate in English :-) I also read reviews about non-standard room service, but honestly - do you really need someone to make your bed or new towels every day? The solution of ordering through the app seems eco- and people-friendly to me. Maybe people are just too spoiled... We didn't try out the sauna, we were staying only for one night and unfortunately there was no time. Overall we were happy and if we were to travel here again, we would definitely stay here. Thanks!

The location was great. Some hiking trails started right around the corner. The “Burg Hohnstein” was nearby. A great place to enjoy the sunset. The sauna and pool were great after a day of hiking. The two saunas were large and like new. The food was really super, breakfast and dinner! Comfortable rooms.

Nothing! In general, though, in this area, it is good to know beforehand that nothing is open after 8:30pm. Luckily at the hotel you could still eat between 9 and 10 pm. There’s also not really any shops (even for groceries) in Hohnstein. You have to go to Neustadt.

The location of this hotel is so amazing in the middle of the nature. The surrounding environment is breathtaking. The has a small robot in the restaurant. The staff were very friendly, helpful and polite they supported us all the time. It was a very beautiful experience I didn’t want to leave this place. The cleanliness level is really good. The quietness there is unbelievable in the middle of nature the best sleep I had in years. The whole area is like a fairy tale experience.

The only thing that needs improvement is the variety of food as the breakfast and dinner menu is limited, but the whole experience was perfect

The mattresses and the pillows have been a bit uncomfortable. The dinner could be better (a small assortment provided)

Very good starting place for a selection of hiking trails in the nearby forests and hills. After hiking, the spa experience was most enjoyable. The buffet was simple enough, but it was nice to be able to eat at the hotel.

The construction works at the village made driving to the hotel rather compicated, and better instructions would have been useful..

Everything was exceptional. It takes some time to get adjusted to the booking of breakfast and dinner however it is very nice to see that the stuff is always making a big effort to create a nice atmosphere in the hotel. By doing that they are basically making sure that there is always enough food and space in the dinning area, it is therefore forgiven :) We were welcomed with a glass of Sekt (champagne). The building is not the prettiest but then again everything else is done with love and care so that thats the least of the concerns. We used the pool and sauna after a long day hiking the area.

The plastic plants in the rooms hallway could be improved. The rooms at night were very warm, on our last day we decided to turn the ac on. We were hoping for a natural cooling but thats ok.

We were treated the same as everyone else. We walked the malerweg etappe, so we were smelly and dirty, still we were welcomed with open arms. Besides the welcome feeling, we found the breakfast and dinner amazing and very tasty! We really needed a good meal for our hikes. We were surprised that you offer so much, for a small roomprice, that include this all. I loved that there was a salad as dinner too. Everything was fresh and we slept perfectly. Thank you!

There was a strange smell in our room, when we arrived. It didn't seem to go away. So we had the window open the whole night, and so we couldn't smell it anymore.

beautiful location, large windows in the restaurant overlooking the forest, friendly staff, cleanliness of the room, comfortable mattress and pillows, a kettle in the room and a bottle of water in the refrigerator were a nice bonus :) good internet and parking. food was good and various.

in the wardrobe there was an unpleasant smell from a bag with bath accessories for the sauna and pool... there was practically no mobile connection in the hotel room (Vodafone), but this is not a minus of the hotel, rather a problem with the mobile operator.

The food was great, we enjoyed dinner and breakfast. The staff was very helpful, some of them speak Czech. The beds were comfortable. We also liked the hotel pool and sauna.

Unfortunately the air conditioning was only in one room of the family suite, although the windows face west, so the adjoining children's room was quite hot in the afternoons and nights on hot days.

Wonderful location on edge of forest trail, in a small picturesque town with castle. Hohnstein is well connected by bus services to Bastei and Bad Schandau which means you can do a lot on a short break. Rooms are very good, half board a good option, and sauna/swimming pool spotlessly clean. Some nice touches like free cake in afternoon and welcome drink on arrival.

Lower the lighting in dining room, and perhaps at table service rather than buffet meal.
