Soooo quiet. Even though it’s advertised as a guest house for families with children and animals, it was very quiet overnight. A receptionist was very kind and even though I have arrived almost at the last checking hour, she explained everything I needed. Location is very safe, no need to worry about the car and belongings. Bar is at your disposal. You just pay for what you drank.

The house is a bit tired and needs some love.

They were kind to accommodate our later arrival - and there was a parking spot! Very cosy beds and room. Shower was a delight after a long day of travel in the cold. Because the restaurant wasn’t available, we explored Kappelrodeck and found some delicious food at Alde Brennküch. The morning offered a beautiful sunrise over the mountains right in front!

Amazing play area and opportunity to use the bar self service. I loved the fact you could pour your own beers or take any drinks and just write down what you had and pay when you leave.

Room was exceptionally warm but it is July and the fan did help. Air con would be great but not enough that I would t stay again.

- great location overlooking the vineyards. - As a family of 6 (2 adults and 4 young kids) we were all able to stay in a single room together. - everything was beautifully clean. - we had fans to keep us cool in the very warm weather. - the mattresses were very comfy. - we thought the stay was exceptionally good value for money. - the staff were lovely and very accommodating.

Location perfect to reach nice hiking areas in the Black Forest. There are many toys both indoor and outdoor for children, so parents can have a rest while children are excited to explore the numerous toys and the playground area. Rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast was superb.

Everything was ok.

Simply perfect ! clean, amazing for families. Has all you need to a perfect holiday. But above all are the hosts - made us feel like we’re home away from home. Warm kind and loving

Great location with a nice view to the rear of the property. Only a few minutes from town with plenty of places to get food. Has a well stocked self service bar and terrace. Owner was lovely and really friendly. Definitely wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if I was in the area

Location, cost, staff

The single bed in our room (#22) was WAY to soft, almost like a hammock and I didn’t sleep well and still have a sore back. The partially clear glass door for the bathroom! Was a bit awkward with parents.

The location is tucked amongst the gorgeous vineyards and located close to restaurants within walking distance (1Km) the host and staff were super friendly and even made reservations for us at a local restaurant.

Stunning location. Village houses have stalls selling local produce with honesty boxes for payment. Wine tasting and purchases easily available too. The property is farm like and needs some modernisation but it is charming. The family who own it were absolutely lovely and very relaxed about what we did. The big garden (with toys) is great for children and for having your own picnic dinner with locally bought wine. There’s an honesty box in the hotel beside a fridge and freezer full of drinks, snacks and ice lollies- lovely touch. No bar as such but the prices were so cheap and there’s a nice elevated dining terrace to use. The kitchen/dining room was open for breakfast but we didn’t use it.

No staff as such but the family/owners live on site, which we really liked, they were very trusting and left you to your own devices but suppose it could be an issue if you were stuck as they weren’t always home. We already had a fan in our room but no air conditioning- weather over 28 degrees would have made the room unbearable at night. Access to a fridge would be good as it did feel more like a self catering/motel.
