The gardens. Convenient parking which was included. Check-in was really smooth and easy. The breakfast, if we were lucky to be there when it was replenished. We loved the individual servings of yogurt and marmalade in glass Wick jars; so practical. Corner room with two windows was great. The toilet paper had fun saying on it which was unexpected and delightful.

Bed was kinda stiff and pillows pretty flat. Breakfast staff was hit or miss. I had a bad fall midway through our stay and was badly bruised on my backside and asked if we could be switched to a table with cushioned seats and immediately the answer was "NO!". I suffered in pain on those hard wood chairs looking at a dining room half empty and no one at the cushioned seats. A couple times there were no more cold cuts or just a few slices of cheese.

Clean, modern and yet stepped in history. Lovely little village setting. Very hard working staff.

There are a number of frequently rung church bells.

Village location, lovely restaurant few minutes walk from hotel.

Despite contacting the hotel some weeks in advance regarding the on site vehicle charging point and being reassured that we would be able to use it during our overnight stay, we were not told until we arrived that it wasn't working and hadn't been for some weeks - this meant we had to add an additional drive to our already long day to find a charge point. Considering the hotel contacted us to confirm our arrival time it would have been beneficial at the same time to let us know about the charge point so we could find an alternative charge point before we arrived.

The hotel grounds are delightful and the hotel offers many nice areas for sitting around. The bathroom was nice and spacious.

The room was smaller than expected and the layout was impractical due to the slanted ceiling.

Room was very clean and no carpets. Breakfast, though a small section, was stocked and very good quality. Coffee station was exceptional. staff was very friendly and helpful.

No Wi-Fi available in the room or anywhere away from the front desk area. The hotel restaurant is permanently closed.

Reception staff were very friendly. The room was very clean. The house cat is cute :)
