Beautiful clean small town hotel with super friendly owners. We highly recommend staying at this hotel! Also, we enjoyed walking around this small friendly historic town!! Ladenburg is a very historic town that has sights that were walkable from this hotel. Cute outdoor dining and bakeries were walking distance from the front door of the hotel and everyone was so nice and spoke English. We walked around the town after dinner and I felt very safe wandering the cobblestoned streets, even after dark. The hotel itself was spacious and had a tea room for breakfast in the morning that was a little extra charge. There were 6 of us in our group so we had 2 of us per bedroom. Our room fit 2 comfortably and the bathroom was upgraded. The room smelled like lemon which was refreshing. Light streamed through the window in the morning and had a beautiful view of a flower covered courtyard (don't worry, there were shudders that you could close at night so that no light would stream in in the morning if you wanted to sleep in). The town had many houses that were designed in typical German fashion. It was cool to see the different architectures from the different years they were built. There was also a grocery store down the street that has everything you could need, which was nice because a person in our group caught a cold in the middle of our trip and the store had medicine that would get us through the next week. Ladenburg is very close to the Heidelburg Castle, so it was a nice stopping point for my group to stop at and rest up for the next day.

Nothing, everything was wonderful!

Breakfast was very good. All items were fresh. Staff was kind enough to serve breakfast earlier than usual as we had to depart early. Over all, very pleased.

Hard to get parking. You should book from hotel. The room is a bit old style and not renovated.

Great location in the center of a village

at check out time there was nobody at the reception

It was in a good location, very close to the old town. We went to Ladenburg as a stop over and we would go again to see more of the architecture and to just relax. But we would stay somewhere else.

No convenient outlets. We had to put the water cooker on the floor to make coffee. The bed was much too hard and there was a long shelf that went where the head rest should go. We couldn’t sit up in bed. The internet didn’t work in our room.

Hard to communicate in English (we asked for a taxi, we got a « No » without understanding the reason) I asked for a big bed, it was not granted, i got two simple beds not even joined and with wood obstacle between them. Limited choice at breakfast

Perfect location.

A very dusty, simple double room with two single beds put more or less together, although my request for a king size had been approved way in advance. The pillows were very uncomfortable pillows. A very tiny TV, a tiny plastic kettle (no tea) and the absolute worst WiFi connection I have ever experienced at any accommodation. Every night at around 9PM, the network would completely stop working until the morning. On top of that, the cleaning staff would just open the door almost every morning at around 8:30 without knocking - no DND sign to hang on the door handle. Quite overpriced for what it was.

The location.

The room on the ground floor was very noisy. The cleaning lady came every morning to knock on my door between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m. The day of departure she came at 9:30 a.m. even if the checkout was at 11 a.m. and insisted on clenaning while I was still packing and getting ready. I've never seen such service in a hotel before! What if I wanted to sleep in? Very disappointing, would not recommend.
