The attention to detail in the bedroom and the friendly staff.

Nicely renovated small hotel in quiet area of Handschuhsheim. Mattress was comfortable and the room size was good. Shower worked very well. Window had blackout curtains. Helpful staff.

Minor amenities like a water kettle, small coffee maker and small fridge were missing. You could not turn on the heater, so it was a little chilly at night! Breakfast is too expensive.

We stayed in a family room for three people, which was a suite and as spacious as a one-bedroom apartment. My son had his own separate room, which was great. The fact that the room was large and had a bathtub was wonderful. There was also a coffee machine and a kettle for tea in the room.

The only downside was that it was far from the city center. Even to reach public transport, we had to walk 15 minutes. The hot weather and the uphill walk made it a bit challenging.”

The room was very spacious and comfortable. There was a bathtub where I could be very relaxed. It was a really great hotel. We arrived late at night, but they were very kind to welcome. The parking lot was full, but they issued me a street parking permit. If I go to Heidelberg again, I'll definitely stay at this hotel.

There are absolutely no bad points. Everything was perfect.

Rooms are very clean and look nice. Unfortunately no AC, and if you have rooms up high you can sweat all night even with the ceiling fan on highest mode. There should really be AC. Breakfast not included, so couldn’t rate it since I thought it was a little expensive to book extra euro 17 pp. Older staff couldn’t speak english and came across pretty awkward, a younger guy spoke it well though but he was only there when we arrived. Parking should be booked in advance apparently, and if you’re out of luck it can be quite difficult since you will have to park on the street and within a certain area in the old part.

Very clean and modern interior. The man at check-in was absolutely lovely and helpful with carrying bags showing us to our room. Bedroom had a fantastic wooden fan over the bed. Good parking in courtyard under archway. Great breakfast. Had the best soaked oats ever, fab warm boiled eggs and great coffee.

A bit out of the city - Had to get a tram into heidelberg, which was a bit of an adventure. Coming back we waited over 30 mins for a No 5 when meant to be 10 mins. Our room overlooked the courtyard and there was a smell of cigarette smoke when we had window open.

We are a family of four with 2 grown-up teenagers with a dog. We had suite number 2 which gave us plenty of space, the interior was simple, modern, very pleasing to the eye and we had a view of the hills above in fall colours. The owners and personnel were very nice. The hotel lies a 40 minutes walk from the old town but you can easily get there by tram. From the hotel you can take a little bus which brings you to the forest (10 minutes max) where you can walk the dog. We went to two local restaurants nearby, just as I like them, local, unpretentious and good value for money. I highly recommend the Deutscher

We were in Room 6 on the second floor. Three of us. My daughter had her own single bed and there was a middle area with 2 sofa chairs to watch TV. Great space in the room.

Was very warm but that was not the hotels fault of course. Also took a while getting used to having no overhead lights as the fan was there instead. But they made up for this but having lots of lamps everywhere.

Lovey location,clean and spacious room,comfortable beds.Room service was fantastic.

We were in Heidelberg in very hot weather. There are only fans in room no aircon which made our stay a little unpleasant. Also there was no bar fridge in room even though there was a space for it.
