the room was very clean and spacious and the breakfast abundant, location is great. Overall good option when visiting Heidelberg.

I was given a room on the top floor during an intense heatwave - no A/C and opening the windows at night meant not being able to sleep because of the noise in Hauptstrasse. Basically couldn't sleep. Generally the staff was nice but had a bad experience with one girl at the reception who was very rude and even let a door slam in front of me when showing me to an elevator while I was carrying heavy luggage. Just basic training/politeness needed. Other members of staff were great.

Breakfast is excellent. So many different things to choose from. Fresh bagels, breads, croissants from the local bakery. Variety of cheeses, meats, vegetables, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, honey, jams, milk, juices and many other things. They do have boiled eggs at the breakfast table, but one can order them scrambled or any other way. Teas are at the breakfast table as well, coffee is being served by the breakfast stuff in a pot, but they do make espresso and any other kind by request.

I had a single room which was not too big, but comfortable und very quiet. The locations was great, at the western end of main street, so I could reach all destinations by walking and in the other direction there were plenty of restaurants for dinner. Breakfast was upper level and definitely the best choice of exotic fruit I have ever had for breakfast. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

The hotel does not have an own parking garage although there is one nearby (and I was perfectly guided to this and from there to the hotel) but at additional high cost (no special arrangement by the hotel with the garage).

The hotel is in a really good location (on the edge of the Altstadt) and is a cut above the typical German hotel. The breakfast was one of the best we have ever had with a wide range of options. There was the regular items one typically sees in a German restaurant (Brötchen, Marmalade, Müsli, Brot) as well as a selection of fruits (pineapple, blueberries, grapes) and more savory items, There was a variety of cheeses (including mozzarella and parmesan), meats (smoked or raw ham), wursts, eggs, variety of lachs or other fish choices, tomatoes (sun dried or natural) as well as cappuccino and regular coffee. There was also a selection of juices. The young woman at the front desk was very helpful and the breakfast attendant was very efficient and pleasant. The room was elegant and the entire hotel had a number of unique touches (marble tables and comfy chairs in public areas). The hotel also allowed us to stow our luggage. Overall a very nice and welcoming experience.

Two very minor issues: the door rattled when another door was opened or shut nearby and the faucet in the bathroom was not stable. We fixed the door problem for the night by putting folded paper between the door and the door jamb. The faucet issue was not a problem as it worked but it would be a simple fix to just tightening the screws to ensure that the faucet is properly anchored. No biggie but it may be worth addressing.

Breakfast variety. Room comfortable. Location excellet for the old town. Staff reacted promptly and effectively when we had a sudden power failure in our room late at night. Within 15 minutes power was restored, to our relief.

We arrived by taxi after 9pm and were not provided details of the pass code to obtain our key because it was emailed to me on the day of travel after we had left tyhe UK and I do not access wekmails on my phone. Why was this information not texted to me as well? Especially as we notified the hotel thast we would arrive after 9pm.

Modern and spacious room. Very friendly and nice person in the reception. Excellent breakfast. I was about to book a standard room, which was obviously sold just before I finalized the booking - so I had to upgrade a little. The receptionist said we got the best room in the hotel and I must say it was really nice and luxurious room to a. modest price especially taken into account that price included a very good breakfast!

Parking was OK. After unloading our luggage we had to drive backwards to get away from the one-directed narrow street. The parking house was 3€ per hour, it was a surprise to us next day that the maximum rate was 20 euros, so after all the cost was less than we expected.

The location of the hotel was very convenient to reach the centre by foot. The old town and the castle can be reached on foot. The breakfast experience was relaxing, food was prepared to a high standard. The Staff were helpful with local information and directions. There is a locked storage room for bicycle if you are touring with a bicycle.

The shower door isn't great, you can easily flood the bathroom within 5 mins. You just have to angle towards the wall and reduces the water pressure to solve this issue. The bed is a bit hard for me and the pillow is not that comfortable.

The room was large and had a sitting area along with a closet and desk. The bed was comfortable, and it was nice that the room wasn’t overly hot during the winter because I can’t sleep if it is hot. The bathroom was very large. It had a full size bath tub and a large separate shower, and also plenty of counter space, and good lighting. The breakfast buffet was very nice ambiance with a lot of choices, and they will cook eggs and bacon to your choice. This has been my favorite hotel we have stayed in during our 3 week Europe trip.

The location couldn’t have been better, right at the start of the Altstadt yet located in a quiet ally road that ensures one a quiet rest at night. The room is spacious and clean, with tiles of vibrant colors in the toilet/ shower rooms. From the list of all the available service one could feel strongly that the hotel is very willing to satisfy all sorts of needs of their guests. The breakfast is superb, from order-able scrambled eggs or omelette, to the widest selection of fruits I could ever dream of.

Absolutely nothing

The room was clean and very quiet, with excellent air-conditioning. Wonderful location within reasonable walking distance from the train station and the Old Town (Altstadt), Heidelberg castle, Old Bridge, museums, etc. The included breakfast buffet had plenty of tasty choices. Staff cheerfully provided coffee, cappuccinos and, if requested, omelets from the kitchen. We would definitely stay here again.

There was nothing to dislike.
