I loved the hotel atmosphere, the kindness of the staff and the willingness to help with a smile. We ended up staying an extra night even though we had to switch rooms. The restaurant was very good for a nice dinner with a high-quality wine selection. The family room was basic yet very comfy with some sofa seats and a table to work with a laptop. The neighborhood was beautiful and very walkable, had several cafes and bakeries, and a start of a hiking trail at a short walking distance from the hotel to a hill overlooking the castle. The hotel was easy to get to by public transport and the old city was also a few bus/tram stops away. Highly recommended for a cozy stay in Heidelberg.

Breakfast was a bit pricy for small children so we opted to eat at a bakery instead, it did however look very good with a nice selection.

I'd been stayed at DAS LAMM for 2 nights at my second time in heidelberg. I love this place because it is quiet, clean and comfortable for a short stay durung the Christmas markets in the bustling Heidelberg. This time I was accommodated in a large bedroom with lovely bathroom. The room was warm and clean. The bed was comfy. Das Lamm is located not in the very heart of Heidelberg and that makes so calm and pleasent. There is a tram stop of tram number 5 and 26 which leads you to the Bismark place for 10-15 minutes. There is also tram 26 which runs to the Railway Station. There are a few lovely bakeries around which offer a good breakfast. There is a good restaurant inside the hotel. They offer italian dishes which value for money. There is also a Penny market a few hundred metres from the property. Deffinitely I will be back next winter.

Room was what we expected. They provided extra goodie's ( tea, water) and the bathroom was clean.

Around 5 or 6AM there was noise for half hour from the workers (I assume). I could hear two people talking completely normal in the stairs and moving something around like a latter or something similar. It they were workers, that’s not the time to be working in a hotel where people are trying to sleep. Even if it was an emergency at least they could have been more quiet or gentle doing the work. Also there was a lot of light in the room after sunrise

We had a family room with own bathroom. Nice and spacious and in lovely area. There is a nice garden restaurant.

Parking can be difficult in this area and the hotel does not offer parking. Most street parking is for residents only but there are a few ones where parking from 10pm to 8am is allowed. We decided to drop everyone off at the hotel and then I used a parking facility 1.5 km away. I took a rent by the minute scooter back which took only a few minutes and cost only 3 EUR. The overnight parking was also only a few euros.

The quality price ratio is great. The room was very nice and had all the comfort It needed. The hotel Is surrounded by a very nice and quiet neighbourhood and the whole town Is very cute.

I got there by car and I found a ticket in the morning, I don't really know why. But that's probably my fault because I didn't inform about the Heidelberg traffic rules, so just don't be like me. About the hotel of i need to find a problem it's that the Wi-fi is quite unstable, but, i mean, this Is not a big problem.

Initially, we were given the basic family room with a bathroom outside the room, on the top floor. The room was dirty, and the bathroom only had a bathtub with a slanted roof, It was impossible to stand in the tub, and we weren't going to be having a bath with the tub looking dirty. We hardly slept the first night. However, things turned a complete 360 the next morning after we complained. The staff on shift was excellent, he apologised and offered us a different family room which was worldd apart from the first. More spacious with a separate bedside for the children and a sitting area. We stayed there the rest of the 4 days. The food was great. We loved the Tortellini and the Schnitzel dish most. There were cleaners every day to take the bins and change the towels. Heidelberg is an absolute beauty of a city. Handschussheim is one of the most scenic parts of Heidelberg. The mountain paths are right beside the hotel, and it was easy to go on walks. Somewhere at the very top of the mountain is a farm with animals(sheep and goats). The kids were allowed to feed them, and they totally enjoyed it.

My original booking was for a room with shared bathroom, I was given a free upgrade to a beautiful family room as the common bathroom was under repair. I appreciate the kind gesture offered by the staff. Apart from that, the restaurant was great for dinner, the facilities at the hotel were pretty good and classy. I would love to go back and stay here again, and would recommend it to others.

The staff were overworked and super busy, as indicated in previous reviews. I was checked in to my actual booking for a room with the shared bathroom. At that time the bathroom had all kinds of repair equipment inside, and the staff said this will be cleaned up in 30 minutes and he disappeared. I waited for an hour to use the bathroom, and still there was no change. So then I had to go back to complain and finally they gave me a free upgrade! These 2 rooms were quite different from each other, in terms of look and design, and they also belonged to different buildings. I guess you have to pay more to get the good room :)

The weather was very hot and the fan was not sufficient. Also the cleaning of the room was not sufficient. The cups we used were not taken back for two days.

It’s my third time in Das Lamm. The property is my favorite one in Heidelberg. Located in a calm area with a close tram stop which heads towards downtown for a few minutes.The rooms are large enough and the water in the bath is wonderful. There is a small restaurant with good food. Definitely worth the money.

The hotel was cozy and had a historical flair. We especially enjoyed the atmosphere a few days before Christmas. Though probably it's not the best place for somebody who appreciates modern and minimalistic styles. Handschuhsheim is cute and has a good bakery to enjoy breakfast.
