I was there for Conne Island event - real close and great location. The hotel is an old tenement house, with wooden stairs, high ceilings etc., but all furnishing is new and in great condition. Comfy beds, fresh linen and towels, bathroom fittings like new, everything cozy and very clean. Drink station in the lobby allows you to buy beer, wine and water any time of day and night, no money needed (on the room), self-service. Breakfast was simple but tasty and plenty, with different drinks variety. Most staff do not speak English, one lady managed and she was very kind, friendly and helpful.

No AC in the rooms, but fan was provided and worked well. Nights are quiet, but there's noise coming from the streets from the early morning.

It was a stopover between Poland and UK. Only few minutes from our original route. We were travelling with two kids and a dog. Had a quadruple room, very comfortable with an adjoining room for the kids rather than a usual pullout sofa as in many family rooms. Safe parking space behind a locked gate, although we arrived around 8pm and took the last available parking space so you need to be lucky or prearrange it with the reception. If you are not planning to drive into the city and leave the car in the car park you will not need a green environmental badge (the city has an environmental zone which starts around 500m from the hotel). Very friendly and helpful hotel staff. Good breakfast included in the price. The hotel is close to many small cafes and restaurants which are open late, we were able to have a decent pizza with the kids in the evening. Would recommend it as a good resting break on a long car journey.

The manager at this hotel was outstanding. She met us and showed us around the property, making sure we had everything we needed. Room was spacious with a nice view of the city. Bathroom was very clean and the shower pressure was excellent. Included breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. Breakfast staff was very friendly and efficient.

The location was a little worrisome at first. Loses of graffiti on so many buildings but walking to dinner in the evening and to the pharmacy the next morning we felt just fine. Many friendly people said hello.

This hotel is an archive gem. Ok, it is little bit old and you can see it everywhere... But the managers if the hotel knows this very very well and they try to get the very best of this (old) hotel. Reception is extremely helpful, rooms are spotless clean, breakfast is above average, there is a great automat for drinks etc... The result is - you don´t mind at all that the hotel is old, because you feel so happy there...

The walls are a bit thin... There are few spots on the wall... but never mind!

The hotel is on the border of the Leipzig green zone, so you don't need an eco sticker to get there by car. The building is old and looks like a maze, sparkling water and a coffee machine are available 24/7 near the reception, which was great! The 2 ladies we met at the reception were extremely helpful and we could even get public transportation tickets from them. Free private parking was also great! Tram 11 will take you to city center in 30 minutes.

The breakfast restaurant felt old and some of the chairs had loose joints. Also the people operating the breakfast restaurant seemed less friendly than the reception staff.

Very friendly and accommodating staff in this ancient yet well kept hotel. The location was convenient to reach the city center by car or tram, and the parking was very easy to access.

The only downside (but still with some charm) was the elevator which was small and aged…. (it was perfectly safe but felt like playing the odds each ride). Very good value for money, really worth a longer stay.

Staff super helpful and nice. Room was good, bed was super nice also. We would come back.

Breakfast was OK, nothing to complaint too much, but I believe the rating for it, is too high (rather good breakfast and not superb/outstanding).

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with my son having travelled for a football match. The breakfast was excellent, very much a continental style. The scrambled eggs with bacon was delicious. The hotel is traditional in its styling and feels like it’s from a different era ( in a good way). The rooms were spacious and spotless. The free Wi-Fi was quick enough to browse and stream so ideal. The staff were excellent and extremely helpful. They provided discounted tickets for the city’s public transport network, which by the way is superb and as you would expect extremely efficient. The hotel is set in a very bohemian district in town. There are lots of individual bars and eateries close by. The no 11 tram which is less than 5 min walk away has you in Leipzig centre in 15- 20 min max. All said and done a wonderful hotel in a beautiful and friendly city. I’ll definitely be back.

No complaints at all

The hotel is a little on the outskirts, but with free on-site parking, it was easy to get in and out of the city center. Immaculately clean, very comfortable beds, spacious, easy check in and out, helpful and friendly staff. Stayed in a quadruple room, with one double bed and two twin beds separated by a sliding door. There was enough privacy for both rooms. There was a sitting area with two armchairs and a TV and in the partitioned twin bed area another TV, which provided for separate entertainment if need be. The bathroom was very big, with a shower area and large bathtub, very comfortable and included gels in case you left yours behind. Continental breakfast was included with the room. There were coffee, teas and juices, a large selection of sliced meats, cheeses, breads, fruit, yogurts, really a wonderful breakfast.

Nothing, all was good!

The stuff there was nice and friendly. I really enjoyed the way to communicate with them. The breakfast was also quite good. I got good breads, fresh coffee, salmon and ham. The overall service was quite good.

One major issue is the noise from outside (from other business). The music was loud and last many hours. I could not stay within my room for a short nap, simply because it was too noisy outside. In addition, the bed is not so flat. I feel a bit uncomfortable after sleeping overnight.
