This is a hotel what Johann Sebastian Bach lovers deserved. I requested a door looking to St Thomas and they didnt break my will. The hotel's location is more than perfect. But the hotel itself makes the location's advantages greater. Nothing to complain about. The design is charming. Music never stops. I was healed in my room listening Bach during sleep. Marveoullous . The sauna is a bonus also. I am surprised there was one.

I cant say I didnt like anything. But things i can question may be price of breakfast which is sold extra. It could have been proportianate. Secondly the sauna is nice but opens late. Maybe it can be open at morning at least until some time for early birds. But those are details.

Very good place generally. Very nice location. Close to tourist spots and nice view. Beautiful classical building. Friendly staff including every front desk staff and the cleaning lady. Lovely mini bar. My mom and I stayed there for 4 nights. Good value for money.

The bathroom drain was clogged. I told the front desk lady. She said she would find someone to fix it but it wasn’t fixed. I had to turn the shower water down really low to take a shower. The elevator was broken at that time but that can be understood. So far my favourite place in Germany.

Wonderful location, just perfect. Beautiful rooms. Beautiful breakfast room and a breakfast that was truly fantastic. Really nice staff, super helpful and friendly. And, I loved the coffee, immediately ready and good quality.

OK the doors slamming all throughout the property are super annoying. Guests could be told to please close the doors quietly at check-in. It could be part of the orientation. Or, a simple sign on the inside of each door asking for care and quiet. I counted eight “slams!” between 0730 and 0800 and this was just annoying as hell.

We did not get the hotel breakfast, as we thought the price (28 € per person) a little steep, although when asked why so expensive the kind receptionist told us it had lots of regional products and so on. Fair enough - maybe next time as we really liked everything else at this gem of a place (though we had no time to enjoy the sauna)! Superb location, just across St. Thomas Church (perfect if you are there to see the Thomanerchor, as we were) and 5 minutes on foot to the city centre. Very comfortable and cozy room, AMAZING shower and amenities in the room if you are in the mood to cook something quick or have a more elaborate snack. Hard to think of a better accommodation!

Not having stayed longer!

Breakfast was outstanding and they made a variety of coffee drinks, egg dishes. The bread, jams and honey were excellent. There was everything you could possibly want to eat for breakfast..

Some of the lighting in the library wasn't suitable for reading books very easily and the bedroom could have used some more reading lights. The library has a lot of interesting books including large art books, histories and travel guides.

The position, in the old part of the city opposite the St. Thomas Church, was ideal for an Easter trip. The beer garden, cafes and restaurants and crafts Market were right outside the door. The area's shopping looked good, although I did not investigate that. The hotel is a lovely boutique hotel. It also has apartments, where I stayed, that are well equipped for self catering. The bathroom was 5* standard. There is also a breakfast restaurant with a chef on hand to cook up your eggs, as well as a sitting room for guests to meet up. The staff are great and very helpful. The Bach museum is right next door if you are interested.

I can't think of anything that I did not like.

A super central location just at the Thomaskirche, very nice building, and clean rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. would definitely go back there the next time when in the area.

- you receive a lot of emails from the hotel during the stay and after the stay. seems a bit over the top -Breaktfast prices are a little bit excessive, but it's optional so all ok.

The hotel was spotless, great location and one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in! Toiletries, towels and robes provided. Close to Christmas markets, neighbourhood felt very safe. Lobby was very aesthetically pleasing with nice decor and Christmas tree. Would definitely stay here again!

View from the room was just an alley way. Coffee machine in the room but no kettle or extras to make tea.

As a middle aged well travelled couple we found every aspect of The Townhouse exceptionally good from its helpful welcoming staff (thanks especially Hannah) to our comfortable well equipped studio and the hotel's convenient central location. We didn't eat breakfast - because we rarely do. But I used the gym and while it was compact it came with towels, water and fruit and excellent equipment. The staff helped us with luggage and made restaurant bookings for us, and changed them when we changed our schedules. We will happily return to The Townhouse in the future.

It couldn't have been better - it was a great base from which to explore Leipzig. Thank you.

great facilities within the room to cook your own meals, with a microwave, stove top, kettle and coffee machine. Comfortable beds, great breakfast downstairs in the dining room and of course top location.

Lighting in the room is inadequate. Otherwise I could not complain.
