Great location, close to the S train to Munich, nice neighborhood, some good local restaurants, nice property, clean and well managed.

Two big negatives are the very loud church bells that ring through the night - if you are a light sleeper, you might not enjoy staying here. One sleepless night I think I identified the pattern: 11 chimes at 11 pm, 1 chime at 11:15 pm, 2 chimes at 11:30 pm, 3 chimes at 11:45 pm, 12 chimes at midnight, 1 chime at 1 am, 2 chimes at 2 am, 3 chimes at 3 am, and so on. Really?? Also, the WiFi signal on the second floor was very poor. Worked great in the lobby, but not in our room.

The restaurant, the breakfast and the biergarten are all excellent. The place is great value for the money if you need to spend time in the Munich area. Spacious parking is available, and it is very close to Sauerlach's train station.

We stayed in summer time, in a room at the top floor. It was hot at night and there was no A/C, nor fans in the room. You are recommended not to keep the window on the ceiling open because of insects (flies and mosquitoes). At around 22:00-23:00 we could hear people at the patio, possibly coming from the Biergarten next to the hotel, they were quite loud.

We chose this primarily as its close to the motorway but it as a real joy to stay here. The staff were lovely - a courtesy call to check when we’re arriving for example. When we arrived we found that the biergarten was open do we enjoyed a lovely meal there with a few refreshments. Clean, comfortable and classically decorated. Perfect. Decent breakfast too plus loads of parking

The village, the hotel, the hotel staff and garden. The hotel is perfect for those passing through Munich, but not desiring to enter in the city, but it is likely it would be worth of a longer visit.

All was fine. Keep it as it is!! and try to keep as much as possible the staff, and particularly the restaurant staff, that positively influence staying in the hotel

The check-in was very quick and hassle-free. We liked the furniture and lighting in the room, very practical. The bathroom was clean and the amenities were ok. The breakfast was very good and the staffs were very hospitable. We appreciate the free parking spots provided directly in front of the hotel.

A part of the hotel was under renovation during our stay. So we found the pungent paint and varnish smells on the corridors very unpleasant. We couldn’t use the lift because it was freshly painted but it didn’t bother us, since we were accommodated on the first floor. The pillows were not very comfortable, we didn’t really like the view from our windows.

Very nice location, small town with everything you need within walking distance. The hotel was beautiful and the staff was very pleasant to talk to. Had a great time here and definitely recommend it to everyone else

This is such a lovely place to stay, from the moment I arrived, the front desk Luigi gave me a big welcome smile, great rooms exactly what you need for a good night's sleep. The outside dining area is a real joy, nice and relaxing, the staff clearly enjoy what they do, smiled and chatted, in English and German.

Quick and undisputed room change as soon as we noticed slight remaining cigarette smell in the room. Convenient free parking. Mosquito nets on windows. Very good breakfast indeed. Great pedigree of the hotel, which goes back centuries.

Great place, so central, great parking, great beer garden and food. Lovely staff. Rooms were great too. We were very comfortable there.

Only issue was the rooms had no fans or air con. We coped as it was not so hot when we stayed.
