Beautiful. The gorgeous antiques made us feel like we were staying in the presence of royalty. Regal halls, excellent wellness, courteous staff. What was not to like. We had a junior suite. Two very comfortable large beds, a modern bathroom and a separate living room. The staff were helpful and efficient without being obtrusive.

Something minor and it was our fault, not the hotel's. We didn't reserve early enough for the restaurant. Ultimately the receptionist managed to get us in. It would be suggested to book a table in the restaurant as soon as you book the room. Apparently it is quite popular.

Staying in the castle building was like being in a fairytale with views out over the tower and to the valley beyond. The pool, steam and sauna were the perfect place to relax after a long day of driving. A delicious breakfast in the main restaurant was made more spectacular by the castle decor. Overall a great place to stay. I will be returning next year when even more renovations have been completed at the palace.

Overall the stay was excellent.

The breakfast room is very beautiful, the breakfast was a good German standard. Especially the Brötchen were tasty. Staff is running back and forth the whole time, attending to the guests. The rooms and bedding were very clean.

It wasn't at all an issue for us, but I can imagine some people who are not so fit would have trouble walking up the hill to the hotel from the parking lot in the snow.

Wonderful breakfast in a beautiful hall. The castle and the grounds are beautiful.

The WiFi password we were given didn't work but that really was not of great importance. I messaged the hotel for a dinner reservation using the message option via Booking but the hotel stated they didn't receive the message. I’m not sure where the failure was but we were unable to get the reservation. It was disappointing but the hotel suggested another option which was very good although it was not on site.

A Beautiful castle in a tranquil location. Rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable with charming antique furniture. The buffet breakfast offered a wide choice of freshly prepared and good quality products. The evening 3 course dinner provided generous portions of exceptionally well prepared local dishes. Staff were attentive and most helpful.

Beautiful country setting. Rooms were spacious, bathroom upgraded. Bottled Water provided. Plenty of parking. Food in the restaurant was AMAZING as was the staff, however, we waited over an hour and a half for our dinner, and over 30 min just for water.

No fans in room, no water boiler/coffee machine en-suite. Not soundproofed. If the restaurant is short staffed, reservations should be kept at a minimum, so that people aren’t waiting for extended periods for drinks and meals.

First of all I will write that we would love to come back. The hotel offers a very good breakfast with quality ingredients. I think everyone will find something for themselves. The selection can always be wider, but it suited us. The experience was a dinner that was really excellent, well thought out in taste in a beautiful place. Contrary to some reviews, we didn't mind that we had to go out into the winter in the morning and evening, actually the food was always associated with a small walk. The staff was very helpful and smiling. The castle has an atmosphere, and the fact that it is a bit shabby somewhere is part of it.

And now something less pleasant for other visitors. The photos show the castle and its surroundings in a better light than reality. The castle complex is connected by agricultural buildings and a quit busy road. The rooms aren't really cozy with only the bare essentials, however the bathroom was new and functional. You need to prepare for the ubiquitous stairs. We were traveling with our dog, his paws were slipping and we had to carry him. When allocating a room, it would be worth thinking about what it's like to travel with a dog. The rooms are not sound-proofed and, above all, there is no hall, so everything from the corridor can be heard right into the room. We didn't even try the wellness because it was in another building and very small.

Unique experience sleeping in a castle. Comfortable room with spacious bathroom. Castle located directly along Flöhatal path for walking and cyxcling. Staff and swrvice exceptional. Open areas to enjoy the castle's interior and old furniture and architecture.

Nothing negative to add.

We came again after a year for our wedding anniversary and were very satisfued again. Great location, atmosphere, food, wellness, comfort, charming room. Good value for the price.

Nothing significant to report. Only the pool could be bigger but you can't have everything.
