The breakfast is alwaus prepared freshly and the location in the centre of the historic town cannot be beaten with lots of bars and restaurants as well as sightseeing opportunities in walking distance. The room was exceptionally spacious as we had an appartment with two stories.

There was no bacon for breakfast and the parking situation is not fantastic but alright.

Right in the centre the hotel comprises two adjacent buildings. you can stop in front of the hotel to unload but then the car has to find a place to park. The staff were very good in arranging this for us. Our room was great - it overlooked the market square and had everything you needed. A really good night's sleep so the bed must have been fine. Restaurants abound in the square - the best one we found almost opposite - Rons Pannekoken Hus on the corner of Kehdinger Str. and Wasser West. Breakfast in the morning was the usual excellent fare served up in Germany. The location is ecellent for wandering through the old town, exploring the church and the museum - all worth a visit.

Not a dislike but something to note: the google map for Stade is not accurate re 1-way streets so get yourself into the Market Square, unload, and ask at the hotel re parking - the staff were very helpful.

Cozy, clean. Easy to find paid public/private lot parking on our own around the city ring and walk over - I was worried about that. Breakfast was wonderful. Welcoming room and comfortable bed.

Hard to leave the old window cracked open at night if windy. Bathroom layout was odd, toilet angled in the way.

Clean & very comfortable. Helpful, friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely recommend. We would stay again if we were in the area. Yes, there is no parking outside & there are many stairs...but what would you expect in a 300 yr old building in the middle of an old town. It is what it is & we loved it.

Lots of stairs to climb to get to room. No tea/coffee making facilities in room. Step down from beds to bathroom needs to be highlighted as difficult to see in low light/night time. We kept the bathroom light on every night so neither of us stumbled when we had to get up.

More central you won't find a place! Quiet, fantastic building, medieval feelings around. My room was small, but more than sufficient for one night. Good breakfast, Really liked it, and highly recommended. If you book via a booking site don't forget to look for an email with the key details as they keep your key in a locker just outside the entrance. (I didn't check and had to call a staff member) .

From the minute I walked in until the minute I walked out I felt comfortable and an honoured guest. Herr Stark carefully explained the carparking situation (for those of us who don´t always read the instructions carefully enough) and was friendly and polite. The hotel is a quaint building on a pretty square surrounding the water and famous crane. Fantastic location. If you like water / medieval buildings / lively daytime atmosphere then Stade is a place to visit. I can´t comment on shopping or night life! (Stade is a popular "day out" for Hamburgers!) Around the corner is a nice "locals" bar with freshly cooked food at very reasonable prices (Moravia and Duckstein beer) and friendly staff - OLN HOOVEN. But in late October get there early as they close at 8:30 once the locals have gone home!! Breakfast was impressive for such a small hotel. If/When I return to Stade - this hotel will be first on my check list! (And Oln Hooven the second!)

It is wrong to say it was negative, but parking is a few hundred meters away and you might have to drop off luggage before parking and collect it after picking up your car. Staircase is narrow to second floor (but shower cubicle large enough for most people!).

i had late arrival. a bit of confusion with the codes but it was resolved immediately by staff through the out-of-hours help phone number.

Breakfast was GREAT. Many food selections, which were constantly refreshed all morning. Even special orders were provided (soft boiled egg). Modern bathroom. Great location in city center, close to shopping areas & banks.

Beautiful town. The apartment was very spacious and located right in the center of town. Nice beds.

Old building means no elevator. Steep stairs. For en apartment this size they could have found space for a kitchenettte. Only a tiny fridge there.
