Best location in town for a hotel if you came for sightseeing. Located opposite a famous museum. My room no 16. is spacious very comfortable and quiet. Strong and hot shower . Very quiet place. Good wifi connection.Handy small fridge,Very good heating and ventillation. 100% Cotton bedlinen,Very clean toilet and shower area, Good size TV. I had a great rest after a long drive, then visited a lovely catholic church which is only a minute walk from the hotel.

There is a metal 3 legged round bedside table which had one leg broken,so it fell apart as soon as I touched it. I missed a bedside lamp , a kettle , with some cups and tea.I had my water bottle but one small 500ml bottle of water in the fridge would have made a difference about how welcomed I felt as a guest.

The hotel has rooms above a very nice restaurant, close to the main shopping Square in Straubing. We had already eaten, so can't comment on the food, but the bar was still open when we arrived at bout 9:30pm and customers were there. Maybe ring ahead if you'll be late. There was parking outside that was free until 9am (iirc) which was ideal for us getting up and leaving in the morning. For a longer stay you might need to investigate options. The room was very warm, but we could change the thermostat and open the window and it was pretty quiet outside, so no problem. We would have stayed again on our return journey, but they had no places available.

Friendly staff, very helpful, excellent center location. Very welcoming, we arrived very late and they waited for us and even prepared some food although restaurant was officially closed.

The hotel is located inside the Old town, just around the corner from the main square and right in front of the Gäubodenmuseum. The hotel manager was super nice and upgraded our room. The rooms are a bit old, but everything is very clean and comfortable. I also recommend to try the Greek restaurant downstairs.

Great location just off the main square. The room was a good size. Felt very safe as the door & gate were often locked.

No breakfast & the restaurant was closed. However we had plenty of options outside of the hotel so it wasn't really a problem.
