I have lived in many, many hotels during my career, but this one kind of beats them all. Being a lifelong sailor I just love to wake up with a free horizon and the sun in my face. My God I did here. Panorama view of Travemünde harbor with one ferry after another padding the window. Clear sunshine after an amazing sunrise!. The room, was just perfect - kind of stylish 1960s feel but perfect quality almost everywhere (Yes, this is an older hotel, but the magic factor removes the little imperfections in an instant!), large balcony and a bed that had a very good matrass. Its actually a little hard to find words to describe this perfect arctitecture in the perfect spot for this non-perfect person for a perfect moment one sunny morning. I loved this place and the room. And to add to that, the receptionist when I checked out was incredibly kind and nice.

The bar closed very early and the clientele was of the somewhat older type. And no, I did not drink that much, just in case you think so from the review :)

Very good place for having a vacation . The breakfast and the dinner were delicious - a very big choice of the dishes and fantastic desserts. We had a welcome bottle of water and fresh fruits on arrival and also got fruits and water as a good-bye gift. The view from the room was amazing. Very professional and polite personnel. We will definitely come back!

The view from the breakfast restaurant is fantastic. Despite of the fact that if was quite crowed if was calm, clean and the staff was friendly and attentive. Good choice of food and beverages. I liked the be bed cover (style and smell) and the fact, that there were two pillows of different sizes on every bed.

Veggies as part of the breakfast choice would have been nice.

I loved that there was a solution given about my room in two minutes and that the solution was an upgrade of what I was supposed to have. Made me warm inside. My dog and I were very happy, I was not aware we'd get greeted so openly and that there'd be necessities offered for the doggos too. The coffee was the best of the best! I've never felt the need to drink coffee till I tasted this one. Can't get over how good it was, would love to know its origins!

breakfast is great; room comfortable, with great mattresses and pillows, we asked a second pillow each and got them, great view on Baltic ; very good location - meters from restaurants and boardwalk

The personal was incredibly helpful and friendly. The location is amazing and the view from the room is unbeatable.

There are three elevators for all floors and only one elevator to the spa/parking garage. Two of the three elevators during our stay were having slight malfunctions (doors shutting two to three times before the elevator actually begins moving). This caused quite the chaos during breakfast and checkout hours. The elevator to the parking garage is very narrow and may be difficult for larger mobility aids.

The facilities, food and attention

I had to work online, they told me the wifi was strong enough but the truth is that I couldn't work because the wifi is almost never working. I had lost two days of my work. Also the swimming pool is very very cold, almost no one used it, and the lift to the gym was broken so you did have to walk a lot to find it

Pretty hotel, with a vintage charm and excellent beach views from the rooms. The afternoon staff that welcomed us was super friendly. The breakfast is amazing and has great vegan options. Pool is nice, but cold. There’s a sauna and also extra spa services.

The WiFi isn’t stable, what’s not so good if you need to work. The pillows weren’t comfortable for me with neck problems.

Extremely well maintained retro hotel. Every inch of this hotel is spotless. We stayed in a family suite, which was brilliant. Amazing view of both Travemünde and the Beach. Location is perfect.

Seaside location with view of beach. Good sized room. No problem with late check-in.

Slow lifts. Wifi system had been changed but this change was not notified in the room, only at reception, so I had to go back down and ask. Chaotic breakfast with some surprises (who has even heard of a butter dispenser?), but that is normal for a large, busy hotel.
