Staff very helpful. We asked to change our room choice and it was no problem. We had two single rooms which were large (particularly one of them). It was great to have an excellent Vietnamese restaurant within the hotel. The hotel was out of town but a good location for us as we were on bikes and needed to be nearby the swiss/german border. After reading reviews I had not expected much of the hotel but it was actually really nice and very good value for money. Someone had said they didn't feel safe outside the hotel but I didn't get that vibe at all and would stay again if I was in the area.

The room overlooking the river was noisy but I had expected that from reading earlier comments as it is on a very busy road. Once the window was closed it was fine and I didn't really see it as a problem.

The room was lovely and clean. It was good to have a room for our bicycles.

It was a little far from the city and the first impression seeing the property from the back gave the impression it was closed/abandoned.

All you can eat Japanese buffet at night - perfect for hungry cyclists! Charming old style gasthaus. Nice bathroom. Garage storage for bikes overnight, much appreciated.

Lousy pillows. Usual flat pointless things we've often seemed to have on this trip. Location near border toll booth, bounded by highway, few services like food store or other restaurants.

Paper thin walls (I heard a neighbour yawn!) Floor was tiles, so a bit cold. Some kind of carpet would have been appreciated Main road in front of the windows, had to keep them closed. Did not hear any traffic with closed windows!

Located on busy road - though our room faced away from it so it was quiet. No breakfast on offer.

Cheap place and if you know what to expect it's fine for for one night. Possibility to safely park bike in the yard. Room was very small but okay for 1 night. Late check-in was possible. The place has potential and could be really good with some renovations.

Shared bathrooms very rundown and small. Only 2 bathrooms for everyone. No air conditioning and rooms under the roof.
