We read the reviews before the visit and saw some really strange ones. So, current status - pool is hot, definitely 28+, may be even 30+, though it's small and will be perfect if you travel with kids. From apartments pool is accessible via covered hallway so you can come in bathrobes - WiFi was good in the apartment and in the house - parking is 9 EUR/day and located pretty far if you live in the house, but in general it's OK - breakfast is OK - hotel staff is good and friendly, I cannot confirm negative comments - both apartments and houses are renovated and pretty big, apartments without kitchens only with fridge, electric kettle and coffee machine, houses with full kitchen - no air conditioning, so cannot say what's the situation during hot days, though most windows are facing east, so not to the sunny side - hotel gave us Sauerland-Cards for free and with these cards we visited a lot of attarctions for free. 10 meters from the hotel there is a covered cart track, it's also free for 10 min.

No lifts and a lot of stairs everywhere. If you live in the house, prepare to walk a lot up and down, since the hotel is located on the hillside.

The view from the apartment was amazing! Really good breakfast. The dinner was not included in the price, but is was exceptional and not that expensive, considering the quality. There was also the SPA at the facility, which had a swimming pool and saunas. The ski slopes were close by. There was a large parking on the premises, which had also chargers for electric cars, which was a big bonus for us.

Only one thing we did not like, the water in the swimming pool was very cold for our taste. It was good if you were planning to do exercise in the water, but not for relaxation and/or for kids. If not for this it would have been a 10/10.

The location of the hotel is perfect.. near the ski area with wonderful nature sight..the room is big with modern design and neat.. the view from our room is lovely!😍 The breakfast is amazing!😍

Bad wifi connection..for two nights stay we have to use our own network..no elevator available..our room is on the 3rd floor and we have to carry two heavy luggages using the stairs..the reception is not upfront..you have to walk upstairs with your luggages and carry them again downstairs to walk to the room.. in case we come back, we know for next time not to carry our luggages to reception to check-in.. 😅

A beautiful hotel in the middle of the hilly landscape. We had the whole chalet to ourselves, 3 bedrooms, a living room and a terrace with a picturesque view. The location is very quiet and close to the nature. The beds were comfortable, everything was clean and modern. We also used the pool - was not too big, but the water was really warm, to relax after a day of action. Decent dinner, and a great breakfast, with all the variety - from cereal and milk to graved salmon to scrambled eggs.

The only minus point is that the restaurant was quite warm and stuffy both for dinner and breakfast - it was a warm weekend, and open windows were not enough. Would also prefer the possibility to sit outside - there were tables and chairs, but as far as I can judge, they were only used for drinks during the day.

Staff at resort was very understanding and helpful. She (at reception desk) helped us to move a room as we had a dog and he couldnt go down the stairs everytime we went outside. Then she offered us a better room on ground floor without giving us hard time. That makes the whole trip enjoyable!

Maybe offer rooms at ground floor at arrival who have big dogs.

Close by to winterberg and all the wintersports. Clean accomodation, friendly staff

Stayed in one of the house. It was nice but i would prefer cover of the front door - no blinds. Also for 1000 euros for 3 days, one would expect to be provided at least with dish soap, maybe one or two dishwasher tablets, sponge and tea towel like basic for kitchen. All these things would make it easier, like few hotel sachets of sugar, salt or tea. it makes big difference, like that we felt like in one of those “Dutch” resorts

The hotel was located in a very peaceful spot and our balcony looked across the hills. If we had stayed in the winter I am sure it would have been very convenient for skiing as there were ski areas within walking distance. The room was a really good size, with a kettle & coffee machine, & fridge. The bathroom was also good & had good lighting & even a decent magnifying mirror which is appreciated. The spa, gym & pool were added pluses. The restaurant food (very allergy aware) in the evening was good even with its small menu and the staff efficient (although they could smile more!) Breakfast was also good ~ a decent buffet with all the usual items and gluten free bread available on request. The seating area outside was also pleasant.

It was an exceedingly hot weekend on our visit & AC would have been great in the room. The bed was comfortable but the pillows dreadful! The staff were efficient but spoke very little English & could have been friendlier.

The room was comfortable, well equipped, modern, the little details in the room were well designed. Comfortable beds, smart tv, well equipped kitchen. The regional card, which gives you passes to a bunch of if attractions, was great. Nice warm pool. They provide towel and robes in the pool, which is really convenient.

The place was great, some minor improvement points: The room temperature was locked. We couldn't turn on the heating while it was a bit cold at night. Some of the staff didn't speak or understand any English

Property has everything! Perfect for families.

The only issue was the snow situation - nothing to do with the property. There was no snow this February so made the skiing holiday very challenging. There were some slops open, but not at this resort. The bus situation was also not the greatest, but again nothing to do with the property. If it was snowing, this location would have been a dream!

Liked: the room, which was very spacious and clean; the large pool with all its facilities and its extended schedule (also happy that our room was located in the same building); the buffet breakfast, open until 11.00. The hotel is located near a ski slope.

Did not like: that there were only two coffee capsules in the room, and they are not replaced (there is also no supermarket within walking distance); the restaurant FuerstRichard, where we ate dinner once (very long waiting times, average, flavorless food despite the fancy presentation and above average prices). Tip: there is a great family-owned restaurant (at the Gasthof zur Post) nearby. Tasty local dishes and superb service!
