There is a massive patio if you are in the ground floor apartment, and if not there's still the yard with furniture. It's very very quiet and looks out on some fields, so no cars and you only see a few walkers enjoying themselves. The house itself is very unique and charming, gorgeous hardwood floors, some original pottery and furniture, etc. The kitchen is particularly well set up, and there are things like scissors, matches, bin bags and laundry tabs provided. You can walk to town, access bus stops, etc in about 10-15 minutes on foot in either direction. The place was well looked-after but not so fussy or fancy that it would be stressful to stay there with little kids or anything. There's a massive clothes cupboard in the bedroom and a chest of drawers in the hall that worked great as we were using the other room as a second bedroom.

The sleeper couch is not that comfortable and the gray bedding was kind of drab compared to the rest of the house. The wifi password does not actually have a space in it, as the sign on the door says, so took a couple of tries to work out. Both very minor issues though.

The apartment was lovely and our host was amazing. She was very helpful and accommodating, making us feel very welcome. The apartment was very well equipped and the internet speed was great. The view over the hill was picturesque.

As a large family of multiple generations visiting Willi Ohler Haus and Worpswede together, we couldn’t have dreamt up a more perfect holiday home. Fully equipped kitchens and bathrooms made us feel at home straight away, and a lot of thought had clearly been put into making us feel welcome. The surroundings were wonderful: maybe the most idyllic in the area.

Everything was self explanatory. The apartment was very spacious, light, quiet and surrounded by forest.

There was no communication with the owners whatsoever. Please note that there is Japanese knotweed on the property (next to the entrance gate and in the backyard).

1. The Willi Ohler house is easy to reach by a road which stops at the house. This is on a hill just outside the village (10 minutes walk) on the edge of a forest. The views, across open country to Bremen, are beautiful. 2. We stayed 4 nights in the Fritz Mackensen apartment in the pottery (not in the main house). This is generously sized for a family or for two couples. The two large bedrooms are at opposite ends and the bathroom is centrally located between the two. The fully-equipped kitchen, dining room and living room are all separate and comfortable. 3. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this accommodation without reserve.

For the price, everything was good.
