Breakfast was awesome. An amazing variety and everything I ate was very high quality. Even the breakfast room was so very pleasant -- sunny and bright. The location could not have been more perfect -- everything I most wanted was a short walk away. And I loved the fairly large bathroom with a huge window -- how unexpected!

The single-room photos on Booking.com didn't depict the room at all, so I didn't know what I would get with that choice, so I decided to spend more on a larger room. I specifically chose a "comfort double room" because the photos showed a large room with 3 windows. That is not at all what I got. I got a smaller room with one window. It was perfectly adequate, but not what the photos showed. Also, I was there on a very hot day and would have appreciated air conditioning -- but the large windows made it bearable.

The breakfast was impressive! There was a very wide range of products, with many options to choose from. The room was good and clean. The location is very convenient, just around 5 minutes from the station.

The pillows. They need immediate replacement. They significantly affect the overall impression of the hotel and call its quality into question. These are not proper pillows; they feel like lumps of fabric inside the pillowcases. No fridges, no tea/coffee in the room.

This is a beautiful small hotel right in the centre of Wuppertal, 5min walk from the main train station with many nice restaurants around. I stayed there with a family of friends and two more colleagues for a conference that we were organising. I particularly liked the exceptionally good breakfast, which offered many tasty choices also for me as vegetarian. The rooms were nice, clean and well equipped.

The internet in my room did not work. The Wifi network that should have been there was so weak that neither my phone nor my PC could connect. As the Wifi was okay for my friends and colleagues staying in other rooms of the same hotel, I guess that this problem was related to a broken router near my room, and my room was too far from the nearest functional router.

+ Great location, not far at all from the train station, close to many shops. + The room is comfortable. + The breakfast is good and offers an impressively large array of options. A special point for the fruit salad. + The people at the reception were very nice.

- The room was hot and there was no way to remediate this. Fortunately, the summer hasn't been too hot this year. In a heat wave situation, it would be hard to endure. - It's not any better than what you pay for (but it's perfectly nice and decent nonetheless). - The room was a tad small. - A kettle to boil water would have been extremely appreciated.

Great location, nice breakfast

Tiny breakfast area where people could not use the buffet without being interrupted by people passing by. The hotel is unmanned at night, and when letting yourself in, you have no option other than to tackle two very big flights of stairs. I saw an old couple (one on crutches) struggle so badly with this.

The Arcade is very nice little hotel near the city centre and the river. Good room, comfortable, nice breakfast, handy for getting anywhere in the city (just hop on down to the local Schwebebahn stop...)

Quiet, central location, a short walk from the Hbf. City centre shops, the local art gallery and the Schwebebahn stop all within easy walking distance. Room a comfortable size and well furnished (it’s always a good idea when a room offers coat hooks as well as a wardrobe, in rainy Northern Europe.) Excellent buffet breakfast.

No overhead lighting, only 3 relatively small table lamps each controlled by an individual rocker switch .

Despite putting into Booking.com Parking the only parking is in the hotels underground car park or a municipal car park for which you have to pay. So factor this in at 15 euros a day. Cracked bathroom sink.

Very well-put-together small apartment with a great price-value ratio in the heart of the city. Whoever designed the furnishings really knows their stuff, as everything is extremely functional and of good quality. The host was exceptionally friendly and easily reachable. I can only recommend it!
