The layout of separate bedrooms as small flats was quite pleasant and functional. It afforded a lot of space inside and also extended outside to a small garden or balcony. The outlook, over the water, was very pleasant. The outside public spaces included a cafeteria/bar servicing the three pools, with many sun loungers!

The facilities in the room could have been a bit more expansive or items kept in the reception that could be bought. If the rooms are to be used as a small flat, or motel room, there could be better access to supplies, rather than driving down to the town.

Lovely overnight stop to stretch our legs and cool off after a long day in the car. We were catching the ferry to Ithaka in the morning and had an afternoon of leisure in the beautiful swimming pools, yes there are two, with the most magnificent views. Had ice cold beers. Played backgammon and just relaxed. The hosts, Vasili and George were wonderful and we hope to visit them again.

Parking our rented vehicle was a little challenging but only because other residents did not consider others when parking their vehicles. There really wasn't anything to dislike.

It was one of the best locations we ever had. The resort is wonderful: the apartment/house is clean, large, with everything you need inside- the owners thought about every little detail; the view from the balcony - spectacular!The parking right in front of the apartament. But the best part were the pools, especialy the infinity pool- really amazing!! The whole resort is like an oasis, with beautiful flowers, orange trees, olive trees, and cute cats... Also, Astakos was a surprise. A place not very crowded, with beautifull beaches waiting to be discovered, nice restaurants with good prices, posibility to rent a boat and visit the islands in the neighbourhood... We really enjoyed our staying at the Giannis Village Resort and we thank the very welcoming owners for their hospitality!

We loved our stay at Giannis Village Resort. The room was extremely comfortable, spotless, and offered everything we needed during our 5 days there. The owners and staff were always available to offer assistance and make the experience even more enjoyable. The hotel offers two pristine pools, a pool bar, and breathtaking views of Astakos. We will definitely be returning next summer!

Since it was early in the season, the restaurant was not open. A token breakfast of toasts, jam, juice & coffee/tea were available in the room, but we used the small kitchen in the room to prepare food we had brought, and liked having kitchenware available. Very nice bathroom with a good shower & soft towels. The view was magnificent & the setting was peaceful. The property is well tended & there is a lot of attention to constantly improving it. The host is enthusiastic & helpful.

The buildings of the resort climb the hillside and the road to access them is quite steep. Parking for each unit also requires some maneuvering. These challenges are to be expected in the Greek countryside--it is usually what goes with getting a nice view, but some might find it intimidating. A large vehicle might present a problem. The resort is well above the town, so a vehicle really is necessary unless you like hiking!

The views, the staff, the service, the amenities, the calmness, the rooms, and the comfort. This place is a gem, and I feel lucky to have discovered it.

The only thing that disappointed me was that the first morning the staff entered the room to change the towels and to wash the dishes, without informing me. Also, even though the wifi signal was great, the internet speed is slow but that is due to the area’s internet speeds.

The owners, the Giannis brothers, are excellent hosts, the apartments are new, clean, tidy...all the best. Honest recommendations. We traveled to Kefalonia and we recommend a break for those who want to take a break from traveling. Of course, there are also a couple of nice beaches in the city for those who want to stay longer... Big, big greetings to Mr. Giannis...

The kids really enjoyed the swimming pool and the staff was very kind, willing to help and happy. We also had a very nice view from our room and the our small "yard" with a pine tree that made a nice shade very useful for the hot midday hours. The room was very spacious even for a family of four.

The AC was on when we arrived from a long drive, so it was perfect for a power nap while kids went to the pool. The fact that you are overlooking the beautiful bay and enjoy the view while in the pool is perfect. Hosts were super nice and friendly! The bar between the two pools offer alll types of coffee, cold drinks and snacks. We will definitely come back, maybe to one of the villas that offer that one more level of privacy to the perfect location.

Very kind owners who waited up for us when our flight was very late and were so welcoming. The bed is really comfortable and everything spotlessly clean and working well. The pools are delightful too and even the sun beds and deck chairs are comfortable! Lovely views too. An extremely well run and delightful hotel. We will return!
