San Nicholas is a gem hidden away in a beautiful bay on the south of Lefkada. We were looking for peace and quiet and we certainly found that. The room was fantastic with an enormous balcony overlooking the bay, we couldn't have had a better position. The staff were all lovely but a special thanks goes to Jenny, a pocket rocket from Australia. She couldn't do enough to ensure we had a great stay.

It is quite remote although there are a few local restaurants near by, some are very good. The hotel is looking a bit dated and could do with some money spent on it! I also got irritated when told I couldn't drink the water I had bought locally at the pool or beach and that we couldn't put anything else in the fridge/mini bar i.e. don't buy drinks offsite and keep them cool in the fridge.

Very nice hotel, relaxing and well positioned , waitresses at breakfast Tana and Ana were first class.The hotel has huge potential.

Owner/manager never interacted with guests which we thought was bad. Jenny who I think was assistant manager pestered me the whole time about writing a good review and asking for 10 stars, which I wouldn’t give as it wasn’t worthy of them!

This hotel is amazing! Classy, beautifully designed and it is obvious a lot of thought has gone into making sure guests are comfortable. We wanted a quiet, beautiful hotel in a gorgeous spot and that is exactly what we got. I think it’s probably unfair to name just one member of the staff, because they cannot do enough for you and you are greeted with a smile everywhere you are. The breakfast is varied and delicious, the restaurant serves delicious food. We were very sad to leave and cannot wait to go back.

Even the pickiest traveller cannot fault this hotel. I truly don’t know why people made unfair comments in previous reviews about the bathroom or the quality of the breakfast because none of them are true.

Amazing, polite and always helpful staff, which predicts in advance your needs, remembering small details about you and your stay and literally analyzing you as a tourist in order to make the best recommendations and suggestions for your trip. We liked all the hotel’s facilities, starting from the convenient parking and ending by beach area. We even were catching ourselves on the thought, that we do not want to leave from the hotel to see other places, because as it was mentioned above, everything was on the highest level! The special word we would like to dedicate to Jeanny, which was very careful, helpful and friendly. Thanks to you all and if our trip will bring us back to this area, we will definitely choose this hotel. You’re doing great job, guys!

The decor is simply elegant which let the natural beauty take center stage. Gorgeous place.

Marvelous location with an exceptional view from the room as well as the rest of the resort. Excellent cleanliness and most importantly extremely friendly staff, absolutely representative of true greek hospitality. This place elevates relaxation to a permanent state of mind.

Hotel is in beautiful setting, is immaculate with a fabulous beach club. The jewel in the crown are the team. They are fabulous. They really go the extra mile to help you all the time. Athina was amazing at helping me find the last rental car in the island. All so friendly.

Executing was perfect.

The hotel was absolutely fantastic. The staff were all brilliant, always smiling and friendly - nothing was too much trouble. The fact that the hotel only has 25 rooms, and yet is so spacious inside - and very much so outside - meant that it was a quiet and restful place to be for a relaxed and stress free break. The pool area was stunning, as were the views from the outside restaurant perched beyond it (and the food - and service - was excellent). The beach restaurant and sun bed area down by the water was never crowded, and there was lovely sea breeze most days.... Kayaks and paddle boards were available, as were boats to rent - which is definitely worth doing for a day (at least) as there is so much to explore from the sea which you don't see from the land!

The only thing that we wished had been available is a gym. There's plenty of space for one - and it wouldn't need to be large. It may seem incongruous for a relaxing holiday, but having access to a treadmill, cross trainer and weights to start the day would have been good!
