Breakfast was great, good choice and very tasty.

Should not charge for hotel guests to use sun beds. Could use room key as proof of being a guest.

The location was excellent, we in particular liked the garden/beach area. The weather was very hot ( 32-36 hot by UK standards) and the area behind the beach was very nicely shaded by trees ( always a slight breeze) which gave you access to the beach and beach taverna. The hotel was just a short walk from the main street and the water front restaurants. The room décor was very good and I would imagine refreshed this year. Good beds ( 2 singles ) and a quiet room. We liked the taverna very much, for lunch and drinks. Very attentive staff, and mega garlicy tzatziki.

Not having a lift, being that we were on the 2nd floor. ( the staff very kindly took our cases up to our rooms when asked) The air conditioner was positioned very poorly in the room such that it was not very effective. The nice modern and refurbished bath room was badly let down by a very sub standard shower head and mixer.

This is the 2nd time this year we stayed at the Avra, we could not fault it .It was very clean and towels provided daily and clean bed linen every 2. We had a great room with a sea view which we requested when booking and we were not disappointed. It was a 5 minute stroll into the lively bustling town of Nidri. The breakfast were excellent and provided for every taste . The staff were very friendly and approachable at all times, the beach bar and restaurant were also good value and excellent service....we will return again to this hotel next year .

Excellent Location right on the beach only 5 minute walk to the Marina. hotel spotless and cleaned regularly. Attached to a Taverna which had an excellent menu and the quality of the food was great as well

Maybe a kettle in the room to have a coffee on the balcony in the morning

No coffee making facilities in the room and with strict signs that you couldn’t bring your own food or drink into the hotel or on the beach or garden. I need to have a coffee in the morning before facing the world. Also the taverna of the hotel doesn’t offer snacks and even though the food is ok , it was more expensive than most of the other restaurants on the beach and not as good. We had to pay for the hotel sun beds on the beach, which I found a bit much, as we had already paid nearly €200 per night for the hotel, I would have expected them to be included in the price

Amazing location. Right on the beach. The food at the Taverna was delicious. Friendly staff. Let us check in early. AC could have been better. Also feel that if you stay at the hotel the sun be should be free. (0nly 5€ though)Only stayed 1 night though, so can’t comment on subbed availability. Overall would highly recommend. Very good value for money.

Nice little hotel, 5 min walk from the main strip of restaurants, bars etc. Breakfast was lovely and generally kept us going until our evening meal. Very clean and staff polite. The bar area on the beach was nice for a drink before heading to dinner.

Temperature difficult to control in the room, was very warm when coming in and the air con blew directly onto the bed so you’d then get too cold at night but then too hot if you turned it off!

The property was beachfront which was great! Rooms were clean and a beautiful setting with loads of trees for shade

Taverna was lovely but if you wanted a drink or food had to go into Taverna to order. My brother in law was asked to to enter taverna because he is wet and had to wait to dry before coming in to look for what he wanted to buy. Beach chair service may be helpful as well as more snacks for offer as you can’t take outside food into the beach or hotel.

Great location right on the beach. Simple but good room, comfortable enough, and sufficient for a beach holiday stay. Nice buffet breakfast spread. Great taverna attached with good reasonably priced food and drinks. Family run business and all staff were always friendly and welcoming.

Nothing to report about the hotel. Was disappointing to have to pay €5 each to sit on a sun lounger - would have rather paid extra on the room rate and shown my key rather than have to scrabble around looking for the cash to pay the attendant.
